I do hope the exhibitors were not disappointed I was called in right at the last minute on my good friend Mary le Monnier’s’ behalf as she was unable to make the show due to illness. I hope you make a speedy recovery Mary. I was exhibiting so my cats were in the catalogue and I hope exhibitors were not too confused ! John and I had a lovely evening in the hotel with some great company! and day at the show was equally good, we had some lovely cats and I was most grateful to John for coming with me to steward.
AC PREMIER NEUTER MALE
GRPC HEMMING’S CH & PR HINDERSLYNE BLACK HEMLOCK (15) 17.8.07 Young lad but very balanced, mature head type for his age and cobby with an excellent coat! Small but perfectly formed as they say, he is heavy boned and muscular. Super type and width to his head, large orange eyes, short broad nose, level bite ands good chin with chubby cheeks. Deep chest and flanks. Excellent jet-black coat, shining with health and sound and crisp. Broad tail at base, balanced in length. Just a mite nervous.
RES GRPC BULLOCKS’ PR MIBABYESE BAILEYSWANKIEBOY (17) 2.11.06 Well grown but long and tall still to fill out his frame. Large round head, fraction muzzly, good cheeks and bite. Large orange eyes. His coat is a mid cream, a bit spotted still and slightly unsound, nice and short in length but could be a little denser; texture should be crisper really. Tail is a different shade at present.
BLACK ADULT MALE
1ST CC HOLLANDTS’ VH PRIDYKATS TROUBLEMAKER 4.6.06 Large chap with excellent bone but a tad long and tall still. Short fat tail to balance. Large round head with fabulous eye colour! Short nose and chubby cheeks, level bite and good chin. Short soft coat, unsound needs a little more density, 2 white hairs though! Good density of colour.
BOB Only: YOUNG’S CH HARLEME BERTRAND AND CH POSITIVELY BIG BERTHA. BOB AWARDED TO: CH HARLEME BETRAND. Big stocky lad with very good type, very mature and balanced for his age with a superb coat, just wish his eye colour was better.
BLUE ADULT MALE
1ST CC O’CONNOR’S HUMBUG TOPPLESLAD 15.9.07 Huge chap for his age with very good bone to his short strong legs but he is a tad long bodied. Thick tail at base tapering to a rounded tip of good length but ringed. Round head tapering to a slightly pinched muzzle, ears are not as small as I would like to see and are a tad broad at base. level bite and chin of good depth. Chubby cheeks. Fractionally long nosed. Round well opened gold eyes. Deep chest and flanks. His head is marginally out of balance to his large body but I suspect that is his age. Excellent coat for length and density but slightly soft and virtually sound to the roots. A darker shade of blue, no silvering!
2nd. STUBBS’ IRACATS ASTERIX (IMP) 1.11.07 Smaller lad but cobby with quite good bone. Short tail broad at base with rounded tip. Deep chest and flanks. Tail is short to balance with rounded tip. Round head shape with good width between generous sized ears and he tapers to a fine muzzle. Short nose, level bite but his chin recedes. Good cheeks too. Eyes a fraction small but of an excellent copper tone. Coat is short and dense, mid blue but woolly and silvered, fraction pale to roots.
BLUE ADULT FEMALE
1ST CC & BOB CROOK’S MOVIESTARS SARITA 1.4.08 What a lovely young balanced lass! Super cobby type and conformation, large paws with a good broad based tail to balance. Lovely British head type, apple shaped with neat ears set well apart. Short nose, level bite and good chin with chubby cheeks. Just a fraction squared at the muzzle today. Eyes, rounded expressive and golden in colour. Coat is short dense, sound but fraction soft. Very promising!
2nd BOLITHO’S BODIDDLEY ALL-THAT JAZZ 29.3.07 Long tall lass needing to fill out her frame as she is out of balance today. Very long tail that is ringed. Very good bone to the legs. Round head shape but tapers to a very squared muzzle. Ears too generous in size and pointed set in a flared position. Short nose; level bite and chin with good fullness to cheeks. Her eyes are round but marginally deep set, gold in colour. Short fairly dense coat but it is too unsound at the roots and too soft and silvered at present. Her texture should be much more crisp at this age.
3rd. WEEK’S WISPWOOD BLUEBERRY BUTTON 18.5.07 Small unbalanced immature lass for her age and need to much more solid to feel and considerably more muscle tone and body weight. Slender legs. Long tail. Head is fairly rounded but her ears too are too large in comparison to head size. Her nose is long, bite is level cheeks well filled but her chin recedes. Round pale gold eyes, should be larger. Her coat is sadly totally incorrect in that it is long, too soft, banded and unsound and also ticked and silvered. Nice colour below the banding though. Very sorry but I do not consider her show quality.
CREAM ADULT MALE
1ST CC & BOB CONNEALLY’S TANYRALLT HOTOTROT (17) 18.5.07 Lovely typed lad, balanced and cobby with excellent good bone and conformation. Good british tail! Just a tad darker than the body. Apple head shape with excellent width between neat ears, rounded profile short broad straight nose, level bite and good chin with super fullness to cheeks. Broad chest and flanks. Short stocky legs. Expressive eyes, innocent expression and a lovely shade of orange. Super coat, short dense and crisp, pale cream just some warmer ghost spots, sound to roots. Promising lad.
CREAM ADULT FEMALE
1ST CC/W/H DAY’S COLINSWOOD HENRIETTA 15.11 07. Well I was surprised to see this slender lightweight lass was the age she was. Unfortunately she lacks type bone and coat. Her head is not rounded, rather more wedge shaped, large ears wide at base. Long nose, overshot bite despite the fact some of her top teeth are missing and the chin recedes and is too shallow. Cheeks need to fill. Her frame is too small and slender boned and tubular. Her coat is a fair colour but is very unsound almost white at the roots, has ticking at the top of the hairs, very spotted and is too long and soft, it has no density. Her tail is too long for balance and heavily ringed. I am afraid I do not consider her show quality at all, so sorry, unusual to see from this stable!
BLACK SILVER TABBY ADULT MALE
BOB ONLY: HEWTSON’S GR CH SARGENTA SILVER VINCENTO. I hear he was awarded best BSH Adult, well done he is lovely, superb pattern and type and colour.
BLACK SILVER TABBY ADULT FEMALE
1ST CC WILLIAMS’ CROWVALLEY SILVA GEOGETTE 14.9.07 Dainty lass but balanced. Good head type with enough width between neat ears. Short straight nose level bite and chin of quite good depth. Cheeks filled in balance to head. Her eyes are hazel and to be honest don’t want to be any darker, nice wide-eyed expression. Cobby body, slightly slender legs and paws dainty. Tail is well ringed and fairly broad at base, good length with black tip. Nice coat for length and density but slightly soft in texture. Pattern is quite a good density of black, minor brindling in some areas but good contrast. The butterfly is quite clearly defined, oysters match with slight brindling to centre. Good straight tramlines. 2 necklaces.
2nd. COOPERS’ KHANCOBAN REMEMBERME 3.5.06 Nervous cat didn’t show herself well today. Small build too, quite good weight with slender boned legs and dainty paws. long nose, level bite but chin slopes back a tad. Cheeks need to fill more. Good width between medium ears. Eyes are not round at all, but are a lovely shade of green. The coat is long and soft with fair density. The pattern is a good black but is not as defined. The tramlines are straight but brindled either side, the oysters are muddled with incomplete rings, the butterfly is slightly vague. Contrast not as good as the winner due to ground brindling I am afraid. Fawning to toes, mid silver with fair contrast.
AC BI-COLOUR ADULT MALE
1ST CC HOLLANDT’S CH PRIDYKATS SECRETAGENT (31) BLACK 7 WHITE 5.6.05 Big strapping lad, well known, judged fairly recently and he has looked better in my opinion. He was rather grubby today, I know bi-colours are hard sometimes but I think he would have benefited from more preparation on a few levels today. Excellent bone! Large round head, mature type. Large round orange eyes. Short broad nose level bite and chin with acne. Very short very dense coat that had lots of scurf, which in a black shows up more, soft in texture. His white was discoloured in many areas sadly (I do sympathise!) 1.3rd white to colour balance. Fully coloured tail of good shape. Lost of scattered white hairs invaded the coloured areas which spoils the demarcation and definition of division…. sorry, he really has looked much better in the past.
BOB to: STILES’ CH ACHURI YACHTSMAN (31A) 13.4.07 Massive lad indeed and managed to stay white! Lovely head, soft coat a tad unsound but balanced.
TIPPED ADULT
1ST CC & BOB W/H KEELING’S GOSPRITELY BRIGITTE BARDOT 7.4.08 very sorry to have to withold on this pretty lass but as explained with her owner following a discussion with the Duty Vet, she has a Divergent Squint which hopefully can be rectified as it was due to trauma. Such a pity today! She has lovely type and conformation, cracking eye colour, very good mascara, but what alerted me was the enlarged pupils at first…they didn’t react to light on the day much. Super weight and bone, lovely short dense crisp coat with even light tipping. Thick balanced tail but ringed. I sincerely hope she improves, as she is certainly worthy of a CC & a BOB.
2nd BOND’S MAROZKA ANASTASIYA 20.4.06 She is a good weight but has very slender bone. Head is fairly round tapers to a fine muzzle though; Good width between her neat ears, nose is marginally long, bite is level chin is too shallow, cheeks quite well filled. The eyes are large but not quite rounded and of a two-tone green, around the pupil itself is a lovely green but it should have spread to the outer eye long ago. Her coat is long and soft, uneven tipping today, much darker on the spine line. Long ringed tail.
AC BSH OR SELKIRK REX LIMIT KITTEN
1ST OUGHTRIDGE HEARLEY’S ALEJANDRO BOSSY BOOTS F 4.7.08 Congratulations on Best BSH Kitten, much deserved! Cracking baby red Colourpointed of promise. Super balance, confirmation and points colour. Lovely type, large expressive pale blue eyes, short straight nose level bite and fairly good chin, it just recedes marginally at the moment with cheeks filling well. Cobby stocky body short legs and rounded paws. Good bone. Tail is balanced. Clear creamy coat, no shading, crisp texture developing, legs paler of course as is usual but tonally all points match. Vibrant red. Well done!
2nd TRICKER’S MIBABYESE ENTRENEUR (17) M 4.9.08 Good sized kitten for his age, round head just marginally flattened above the brow. Good width across the topline between medium ears. Smallish rounded eyes of a promising muddy colour. Sweet expression. Short nose level bite and chin firm. Solid body with short strong legs. Mid cream baby coat, spotted at present, sound to roots, could be denser for perfection though. Currently has two coats, new on his shoulders and old on the back so benefit given today for this. Tail balances.
3rd.SIMMONS’ PAMPURRED PRIVATEER (16) 26.7.08 Big lad but coat very long and soft and silvered with an interesting brown patch on his tummy!
