I was called in to take over various miscellaneous classes in the very popular Burmese section today owing to a huge entry the booked judges were very overloaded. I do hope that the exhibitors were not too disappointed, I mainly took Joyce Green’s side classes with one or two other senior judges classes too. I was most grateful to Jo Hudson for stewarding for me, very capable and great company. Good luck on the scheme Jo, hope we can do this again some time?

RED, CREAM TORTIE ADULT

1ST ORTON’S CH CHAMSTRAW PEBBLES DELITE (27e) 2yrs 2mths. What a super start to my day in the Burmese section. She is a gorgeous cat I see I have judged on a number of occasions. Wonderful expression! She is very nicely balanced lady, good rounding to chest with a straight back and slender shapely legs to her medium firm body. Well shaped tail just a tad short of balance. Nicely rounded brow both in profile and between her marginally generous ears that gently tilt forward. Her head forms an excellent short wedge that has super depth and width at the jaw hinge. Her nose is short and straight with a fairly good break, if I was to nit pick I would prefer a little more of a break. Bite is good and the chin is a good depth lining up well. Beautiful pale yellow eyes, large full and lustrous, set well apart and scream Burmese. Gorgeous coat that is short fine and close lying and of really lovely satin like texture to it. Striking warm seal browns and various shades of red mingling which is very attractive indeed. I loved her.

AV BREEDERS  (CH OR GR CH)

1ST BONE’S CH SYKRIS DEJA VEUX (27c) 3YRS 2WKS. A really lovely lady who for me just gets better all the time. I love her type and balance. She is a firm medium-bodied lass with elegant limbs and neat paws, she is a very good weight and her tail although marginally short, is well shaped and rounded at the tip. Medium ears set well apart aside a gently rounded top of head; the wedge is short, blunt and wide at the hinge and is of excellent depth from the top of her head to the bottom of her jaw. Her nose is short and straight with a distinctive break in profile. The bite is good and chin level. . Stunning large and lustrous eyes of pale yellow, set well apart and of beautiful shape and expression. Her coat is lays really well and is short and fine, super texture and shone with health. The colour in the lighting today had a faint bluish tone mostly on her back otherwise it’s a warm pale dove grey. I was really pleased to have a long chat with her.

2nd BONE’S CH SYKRIS EYE CANDY (27c) 1yr 11mths. Younger lady not quite the maturity of the winner but of course very similar in looks, out of the same sire. She is a medium sized, firm bodied lass, a fraction rounded around her middle, obviously adores food! She has elegant shapely legs with dainty oval paws, is a very good weight; her tail is a good shape and balances.  Her head is slightly rounded both ways, i.e., between her medium sized forward tilting ears and in profile too; they are set very well apart and correctly follow the shape of the upper part of the face. The nose is short and straight with a good break, just slightly rounding at the very tip; The bite is correct, the chin is marginally shallow though and just steps back a little. Beautiful typical Burmese eyes, very expressive, large and lustrous and set wide apart, palish yellow in colour. Superb coat texture, short fine and lays close, marginally bluish tones to the upper back area with very faint smudges to the top of legs otherwise a warm even lilac.

EXTRA 2ND. MOORE’S CH MOONGAZER PASSION FLOWER (27b) 2yrs 2mths. Super eye colour on this lass, lovely! She is a well-developed, firm bodied lady with proportionate shapely legs and neat oval paws. The tail is of good shape and just balances with a rounded tip. Her top of head is gently rounded and in profile too, the ears are set very well apart, tilt slightly forward and are in balance with the lines of her short blunt wedge. I liked very much the width and overall depth to her head, she has strong lines. In profile the nose break is distinctive and the nose is short and straight. The bite is level and chin is a good depth and is level, she is marginally pinched however at the muzzle. . Her eyes are full, large set wide apart and have the full lower line and topline gently slants to her nose, lovely expression and like I mentioned earlier a super colour!  Her coat is short and fairly fine, lays well but has possibly what may be seasonal coat changes to her back area, 1 unbroken necklace and shows some contrast marking to her face. The colour is a fairly warm and even milky chocolate.

3 lovely ladies.

AC BURMESE BREEDERS (CH OR GR CH)

A gnat’s whisker between these two stunning girls!

1st WOODLEY’S  CH HONPUSS CARELESS WHISPA  (27g) 3yrs 2wks.A super mature and stylish lady with “attitude” although I did wonder if she was coming into season? She is a firm bodied cat with good rounding to her chest and straight backed with elegant legs and neat oval paws. Her tail is well shaped tapering to a rounded tip and balanced. Slightly generous well - placed ears sit aside a gently rounded brow and in profile the nose is short and straight with a good break. The wedge is nice and short with very good width at the jaw hinge and also of overall depth from top of head to lower jaw. The bite is correct and the chin is level.  Her eyes are large, pale yellow and have a lovely Burmese expression; set wide apart with a gently slanted topline and full lower line. Her coat is gorgeous, soft blues and pale creams delicately mingled and very attractive. She has a feint necklace; otherwise the coat is even in tone. The texture is super; length is short and fine and lays really well.

2nd HUTCHISON’S GR CH IRREP AMONDI (27e) 3yrs 2mths A lovely typed mature lady of super type. Of good size and excellent weight and muscle tone to her medium length body with elegant proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is a good shape to balance with a rounded tip. Rounding to chest and straight backed. Excelent width across the top of head between marginally large ears of gentle forward tilt and good set. The head forms a super short wide wedge, the bite is level, and the chin just recedes a tad though. In profile the brow is gently rounded, the nose is short and straight until the very tip where it just rounds off; distinctive break; the head shows excellent depth from top of head to lower jaw. Excellent eye shape and size set wide apart, chartreuse in colour and has a superb typical expression. Super coat, short, fine and close lying, lovely texture and shone with health. The colours are a striking deep brown and varying reds, nicely mingled and very attractive Lovely temperament.

AC BURMESE BREEDERS (NON CH)

1st MOORE’S DULCEMARA PETRONELLA (27c) F 1yr 1mth What a wonderful expression this girl has! I see I judged her and liked her as a kitten and she is maturing really well. Her medium sized body is well muscled, firm and of excellent weight with shapely elegant limbs and neat oval paws; her tail is a super shape and balances with a paintbrush tip. Her head forms a short blunt wedge with very good width at the jaw hinge and from top of head to lower jaw. The top of head is gently rounded between marginally generous sized ears that are set very well apart and in line with the upper part of the face. In profile the brow is slightly rounded, the nose is short and straight with a good break. Bite is correct as is the chin. Her eyes are very typical, large and lustrous, set wide apart, good fullness to the lower line whilst the topline slants very gently to the nose, yellow in colour and just smacks of Burmese when she looks at you.  The coat is beautiful, short, fine and close and of a lovely satin feel. Her colour is even toned, a delicate dove grey, fraction darker on her back, which I guessed, is seasonal coat changes. Wonderful temperament, very relaxed. Very promising.

2nd  MOORE’S DULCEMARA ANNABELINDA (27) F 11yr 3mths. Loved her! Unlucky to meet the winner for me, she is equally worthy of 1st place. Muscular firm body of super weight, just smaller than medium in size; good rounding to chest and straight back with a super shape to her balanced tail. Her legs are slender and shapely with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is well shaped and of good length to shoulder. Excellent width between medium gently forward tilting ears, with the outer line correctly following the upper part of the face. Her head forms a good short blunt wedge that has excellent depth and width at the jaw hinge. In profile the head is gently rounded both ways and has good width across the top and her nose is short and straight with a good break, just rounding slightly at the tip.  Her golden yellow eyes are set well apart, are large and lustrous with correct shape, super typical expression too. Her coat is super warm even seal brown, just a feint necklace other than that it’s even and is promising for texture; it is fairly short and lays close.

3rd. YARDLEY’S PAPAGENA YANA YARDLEY (27c) F 11mth An attractive lass who for me is just a little out of balance at the moment as her firm body is a trifle long. Slender elegant limbs and dainty neat paws; her tail is a good shape and balances. Her head forms a nice short wedge, good width at the jaw hinge and overall depth. Very good width between marginally generous sized ears, set correctly following the line of the upper part of the face. In profile the brow is very slightly rounded but slightly long from top of head to her nose which is reasonably short, is straight with an acceptable break. The bite is level as is the chin but I would prefer it deeper for balance.  I like the eyes for shape and set, they are large and lustrous and of pale chartreuse but she has tear gunnels evident today which just spoils her look a little. Super coat texture, fairly short and lays well with minimal contrast masking to the face but I note a bluish tinge, hall lighting? I have seen better colour on her before. Easy to handle.

4th. DEWHURST’S SKAMPAWS MORNING CLOUD (27c) 1yr 5days

AC NON-BREEDERS MALE

1ST DEWHURST’S CH ISAJEN SKAMPAWS MAGIC (27b) 1yr 5mths. A medium sized lad but of excellent weight and muscle tone! He is really firm bodied with good rounding to chest and a straight back with strong shapely legs and oval paws. His tail is a good shape and balances.. Very good width to his top of head which is gently rounded between slightly large ears and in profile the brow rounds nicely too; they are set well apart and correctly follow the line of the wedge. Fairly short nose which it is straight with a very good break but just rolls slightly at the very tip. Medium wedge that tapers to a blunt finish with good width at the cheeks and of overall depth.. Level bite and chin is a good depth but just recedes a little. Large expressive eyes, set wide apart with topline gently slanting to the nose, good fullness to lower line and of a pleasing golden yellow colour. His coat is a fairly warm chocolate that is even in tone and is short, fairly fine and lays close; in lovely condition too. Super nature.

AC NON-BREEDERS FEMALE

1ST ORTON’S CH CHAMSTRAWS PEBBLES DELITE (SEE REPORT ABOVE)

2ND RANSON’S  CH MAINMAN KISSTASTIC  (27c) 2yrs 1mth. Another lovely typed lass I liked very much! She is a firm medium bodied lady with elegant shapely limbs; neat spoon-shaped paws and a good balanced well-shaped tail. Gentle rounding to the top of head between her fractionally large ears; they tilt gently forward and are set wide apart, the outer line following the upper part of the face. The head forms a super short wide blunt wedge that is of excellent depth from top of head to lower jaw.  In profile the brow rounds slightly, the nose is short but has a wee bump, the bite is level and so is the chin of good depth. Gorgeous, typical Burmese eyes for shape and set of pale yellow. Super pale dove grey coat, warm in tones and even with just a small smudge to the thighs. It lays beautifully and has a lovely texture.. A very nice lass overall!

3rd. POWER’S MAINMAN KISSOFINDIA (27) 1yr 2mths Super typed lass too who is medium in size, lovely firm body and of very good weight with elegant slender legs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of good shape and balances with paintbrush tip. She has medium sized broad based ears that are set well apart a gently rounded top of head the outer line of which correctly follows the upper part of the face. In profile the brow is gently rounded and the nose is short and straight, The bite is level, the chin is level too but slightly shallow. The wedge is short and blunt and has very good width at the jaw hinge and good depth from top of head to lower jaw. Beautiful Burmese eyes, yellow in colour, large and lustrous and set wide apart. Excellent texture to her seal brown coat, just a few white hairs around the shoulders, otherwise even in tone and it is nice and short and fine, laying close.

AC JUNIOR

1ST POWERS’ MAINMAN KISSOFINDIA (SEE ABOVE REPORT)

2ND BRININGER’S OYIBO KARRIE-WHITCHIT (27b) 11mths Slightly immature for her age her head is just a little out of balance for her body which is just about medium in size, is fairly well muscled and of a reasonably firm feel. Her top of head is very gently rounded, the ears are set well apart and tilt gently forward and of good set. The wedge is short and has quite good width and depth. In profile the brow is gently rounded, the nose is short and has a good break but the chin recedes with a pinched muzzle. Her yellow eyes are set fairly wide apart and have a good shape and size with a pleasing fullness to the lower line but I would just prefer them a little larger. The coat is a lovely even toned warm choclate, better colour for me that the cat above, Super close short and fine coat in lovely condition

3RD. KING’S KATSACUTE DREAM (27c) M 1yr 2mths. Well-grown lad of large but rather long body shape that is firm and muscular and of excellent weight. His tail is a trifle thick but balances. Good rounding to chest and straight backed with strong shapely legs and large oval paws. Good width to his gently rounded top of head between medium well set ears. In profile the brow is very gently rounded, the nose is straight but slightly long with a fair break.  Medium wedge with good width at the jaw hinge and quite good overall depth tapering to a blunt finish. The bite is level as is the chin but I would prefer more depth. It was slightly difficult to assess the eye shape properly, they were set quite well apart and a fair size but one was weeping, I felt that I would prefer a more rounded lower line but gave him the benefit of doubt today. The other His coat is a trifle thicker than I would like in a cat of this age, maybe lives outside? The length is fairly short and texture more in keeping with the density of his coat than satin-like. Colourwise, its cool toned and mostly even.

AC DEBUTANTE

1ST BEALE’S ADNIOBU GUCCI GIRL. (27b) A good-sized cat of good weight, is firm bodied and has slender legs and neat oval paws. Her tail is balanced and of good shape but has a thickening just up from the tip, possibly and injury?  The top of head is gently rounded but I felt her medium broad based ears were set slightly too high thus not quite following the outer line of the face; the wedge is fairly short, tapers to a blunt finish and has good width and depth but is pinched at the muzzle. In profile the brow rounds gently, the nose is fairly short but rolls off at the tip. The bite is level but the chin recedes and is slightly shallow. Her pale yellow eyes are a good shape, set fairly wide apart and have expression but I would prefer them a little larger. Her coat is a warm pale chocolate with just a few faint smudges and bracelets and a very feint necklace, it is also slightly brindled at the moment and has some white hairs on her shoulders.

CHOCOLATE OR LILAC KITTEN

1ST POWERS’ MATAG MOONSTONE (27c) F 7mths What a lovely promising kitten with a personality to match! She is very well developed, firm bodied and is of very good weight. Good rounding to chest and is straight backed with slender legs and neat oval paws. Excellent tail of good shape to balance. Her head forms a super short, wide blunt wedge of very good depth too, just showing a slight pinch though. The top of head is gently rounded between well-set medium gently forward tilting ears, the outer line following the upper part of the face. In profile the brow is gently rounded, nose is short and straight with a good break, the bite is correct chin is level but fractionally shallow. Her eyes are super! Pale yellow in colour, set well apart and large. The topline gently slants to the nose and lower line shows good rounding this giving rise to a typical Burmese expression. Super coat length and texture, lovely glossy sheen and lays close, nice pale dove grey, just a hint of blue tones to her face. Super nature too and enjoyed her cuddles.

2nd TAMLIN’S PURFIDELIS TAMARA TOFF (27b) F 8mths Loved her name, loved her character! She is a very alert well grown kitten full of mischief! Medium bodied well-muscled baby that has a nice firm feel about her with shapely slender legs and neat oval paws. Lovely shape to her balanced tail. Her top of head shows good width and rounding between well-set  slightly generous sized ears; they tilt slightly forward and correctly follow the line of the lines of the face.  The wedge is short and blunt of good width and overall depth. In profile the brow slightly rounds, the nose is fairly short and straight but just rounds off at the very tip with a fairly good break. The bite is correct, chin is level but could be deeper for better balance and just recedes a fraction. The coat is fairly short and close lying, is a warm toned milky chocolate that is nice and even except for slight contrast masking to her face. Her eyes are large, set well apart, showing good expression and are of correct shape, pale yellow in colour. Handled well.

3rd. MORRISON’S FILANDRE CHOCOLATE CHARMER (27b) F 8mths. Another character, much preferred to play bless her.

Good rounding to his chest and straight backed he is a good size with slender limbs and large oval paws. Well shaped tail that balances with a rounded tip. The wedge is short and blunt with good width at the jaw hinge, just slightly pinched, teething? Super golden eye colour! medium sized eyes of correct shape, they are set wide apart, the upper line gently slants to the nose and lower line is more fully rounded, however,  I would just like them a mite larger for perfection. He has a typical baby coat, nice colouring of  cool pale milk chocolate with contrast masking at present to his face and ears and a few feint smudges on his legs with a necklace too.

AC KITTEN 7-9 MTHS.

2nd BATCHELDER’S KYMIAN BLUEBELL (27g) F 7mths.  Apparently I judged this lovely kitten very recently, good to chat with her owner and breeder. She is a very promising lass, super type and I loved her colouring. She is a good size and of very good weight; firm muscular medium length body with elegant proportionate limbs and a balanced tail of good shape. Good lines to the head, well balanced, with gentle rounding to the top of head between well spaced medium forward tilting ears. In profile the brow gently rounds, the nose is short and straight with a distinctive break, bite is correct and chin is firm and lines up. The wedge is short, wide and blunt and has lovely overall depth. Her yellow expressive eyes are a good shape and size and are set well apart. Super short fine coat that lays close and has lovely texture developing, soft toned blues and pale creams are mingled delicately and have an overall very pretty look.  Equally worthy of 1st

Very expressive large and lustrous eyes, good shape and set of pale yellow. Excellent coat, lovely satin feel, nice silvery sheen too; it is short, fine and lays close, just shows some fawning on her body at present.
