My very grateful thanks to the gorgeous Nick who drove to and from my house to save my back and for his excellent company! You are now known as Mr Havana Nick! I was looked after by my close friend Gerda Stanley and we had  a lovely day with some truly wonderful cats, thankyou to all who showed, I genuinely wanted to have far more then one certificate in my Imperial Gr Pr class!

AC NON-SELF CHAMPION FEMALE

GR CC  GRAY’S CH STONEMARR TUMBLER SNAPPER (28) Pretty, cobby, solid and muscular lass who has short thick legs and rounded paws. Tail is broad at base and tapers to a rounded tip. Apple head shape, neat ears set very well apart, fairly large round copper eyes, short straight nose, good bite and chin, just slopes back a tad. Good fullness to cheeks. Lovely short dense crisp coat, well mingled palish blue and paleish cream, a little silvered, almost sound, crisp to touch. 3 paws showing both colours. Maturing well!

AC NON SELF CH ADULT MALE

GR CC BLATHERWICK’S WINDYMEADOW WORCESTER(40/5) 4.4.06 Mature, cobby, excellent size and weight with excellent muscle tone. Typy! Not quite over the top though for me I liked him! Excellent width across his top of head, medium ears, good cheeks and bite. Eyes a tad deep set, clear blue. Fractionally long nose with a wee bump. Large solid body supported by very well boned strong legs with rounded paws. Rich red points, paler on legs as is permissible some tabby markings too which I hope fade. A little tonal body shading but minor. Shortish coat, reasonably dense and crisp.

RES GR CC HALL’S CH CATYKES’ HARVEY SILVERMOON (18) 18.11.08 Rangy as yet and needs to fill out in fairness as his breeder agreed! But what a pattern! I liked his eyes, nice and large and set wide apart as they should be, a good light hazelly green too. he needs to fill out his muzzle really and his body but apart from that there is little wrong. Lovely dense black pattern, very good clarity against a bright light silver ground. Just some brindling to the wings of the butterfly and a bit in the ground. Just needs too mature into himself, which is exactly what his breeder said I totally agree.

AC GRAND PREMIER OR SELKIRK REX GRAND PREMIER MALE

IMP GR PC WITHEY’S GR PR STONALL ROCKEE (30D) RED SPOTTED Congratulations on Best Neuter! I have seen this lad in many shows over the years and on occasions one can hardly see his spots but TODAY they were clear! He is a large heavy boned masculine cat with good type. Lovely orange eyes. Just a fraction square in the muzzle. Good breadth of chest and rump. Excellent short  well boned legs. His coat today was short and crisp and his spots were clearly visible when standing away from him. He is a lovely rich red with contrast. Good leg bars and M to face with a spotty tummy.

RES IMP CREATON & WALKERS’ GR PR CRINKLES JACK FROST (79L 15D) Well worthy of the award. He has a good round head shape with nice broad cheeks, excellent width across the top of head between medium well set ears. Fairly short downward slanting nose, level bite but chin slopes back a little and is a tad shallow. Curly whiskers. Reasonably well padded whisker pads and medium width rectangular muzzle. Still maturing. Excellent coat, loose unstructured curls. Good ruff and tail plumes. Excellent dome to head I just wanted to comment on.  I liked him very much!

AC BRITISH OR SELKIRK REX GRAND PREMIER FEMALE

GOODNESS WHAT A STRONG CLASS ALL WORTHY OF THIS AWARD AND I CERTAINLY TOOK MY TIME SO SORRY TO KEEP YOU ALL WAITING ON THE DAY! 5 super girls entered and present. Decision went on points judging!

IMP GR PC GREEN’S GR PR TANGLEKEYS BOMBAY SAFFIRE (40/9) 10.7.05 Balanced, cobby, mature with excellent type and fabulous points for colour and balance and matching.  She really has a lovely look about her! Loved her face! Superb deep blue eyes too. Excellent apple head shape with very neat ears set really well apart. Excellent chubby cheeks. Good bite and firm chin. Short close coupled cobby body of very good muscle development and has  broad chest and rump. Her coat is short dense and crisp and was beautifully prepared. The points are her crowning glory, warm chocolate and pale red beautifully mingled and all matching for tone and balance of mingling which is very hard to achieve having bred these many years ago. Her mask shape is excellent, right shape and clearly defined, as are the points on her legs and tail and ears.

RES IMP GR PC MARTIN’S UK IMP GR CH & GR PR WELLMAR ISABELLA (28) God what a decision! I adore this cat and it was just down to her scurf that lost her the higher award today. Not to take anything away from the winner as she is just beautiful! Isabella is in a class of her own, she is just the most gorgeous blue-cream typy girl I have seen in a long time, I recall handling her on the Supreme stage when she got the adult BOV in the Brits section…she has mellowed a tad since then! She has type, eye colour, bone and balance. She is currently a little scurfy which is a nightmare as I get it myself in my own blue-creams. She is well worthy of this higher award if she can just clear that scurf, for me!

AC SELKIRK REX PREMIER FEMALE

GR PC GILLOT’S GR PR CURLU COCO (79L21) A lovely exhibit who I have judged many times before, she is a super cat, excellent coat too but today was a tad harsh and not soft. Super Selkirk type. And body shape.

LILAC BURMESE KITTEN

3 ENTERED, 2 PRESENT.

1ST & BOB TAYLOR’S RAWEKE GOODGOLLY MISS MOLLY 17.12.09 Well grown baby girl of super weight and balance for her age, elegant slim limbs with dainty neat oval paws. Good tail for shape and balance. Her head forms a lovely short wedge tapering to a blunt finish which has excellent width at the jaw hinge. Nicely rounded dome between marginally generous ears, set nice and wide apart though, the outer line of which correctly follow the upper part of the face. Good rounding to chest and straight back. In profile the brow rounds, the nose is short and straight, good depth to chin which is level, overall the depth of head is super! I would just like a little more nose break but then she is still teething. Correct bite. Her eyes are a good size and shape and are set well apart, lovely yellow colour too and expression is coming. Baby coat showing promise being short and fine and lays well. The colour is warm lilac and is nice and even, good to see on one so young.

2nd STEPHENS’ MILLGILL BLONDE BOMBESHELL 25.10 09. Not much difference in size between these two girl considering their ages, though this kitten is a nice weight and feels firm and muscular for her size. Her legs are slender and she has neat oval paws. Fraction short tail to balance of good shape. Her head forms a short wide wedge tapering to a blunt finish with a teething pinch at present. Her top of head is gently rounded between marginally generous ears for size but set nice and wide apart. In profile the brow is slightly rounded, the nose is short but has a wee bump and fair break. Chin is level and of medium depth. Bite is good. Her eyes are a quite a  good size and shape is and are set reasonably well apart, pale yellow chartreuse in colour. Fairly short close fitting  and even dove grey baby coat , super promising texture, not quite as warm as the winners but still showing some warm tones.

1ST CC & BOB CH STONEMARR TUMBLER SNAPPER.

BLUE-TORTIE&WHITE ADULT

AC SELKIRK REX ADULT MALE

1ST CC MURRAY DREW’S ASPIRITOUS URIAH HEAP (79S 16) 28.4.09 Well known and written about recently. I think he so much to offer if bred to more Selkirk looking cats, if bred to “british looking british” i.e. small eared and rounded muzzled. the kittens in my view will tend to come out too british, just my opinion, for what it is worth.  He has an excellent full cheeked head but his ears are looking too neat and “british” His muzzle is tending to round into the contours but apart from that he is just superb! Excellent bone, some British shorthair breeders would KILL for! Superb wavy soft coat, stand away superbly. Whisker pad reasonably padded, curly whiskers. Good tail, well waved. He is a huge chap, correctly rectangular bodied and muscular.

AC SELKIRK REX ADULT FEMALE

1st CC & BOB CREATON & WALKERS’ CRINKLES FORGET ME NOT (79L21) To be honest if it wasn’t for the ears/muzzle on Heap she would get the BOB! That said I don’t want to take anything away from this lass as he has a good Selkirk look. She is a nice size and has good boning to her medium length legs. I like her head and ears, she also is nice and broad cheeked with slightly more muzzle and padding. Her eyes are nice and round. Bite good. Chin firm. Super full coat, flowing well and stands away from the body in loose unstructured curls all over including good plumes to her tail and a good ruff. Nicely presented.

 End of report.
