BLACK SILVER TABBY MALE

1ST CCW/H SIDWELL’S ARAVEL TOMORROWS HERO 1.7.06 I was rather sorry for this cat, he was very nervous and flinched when we tried to judge him so we took our time and gave him cuddles. I think he needs lots of TLC if he is going to survive the show bench. For a male entire cat of his age I feel he should be more muscular and heavier and more developed than he was. He was lightweight for his frame I am afraid.  His head shape is fairly round, rather more broad at the top tapering to a narrow muzzle. His ears were held low but I wondered if that was fear. He has large green eyes paler outer. Short nose but a large bump in profile. His cheeks are quite well filled. Bite is level, chin slopes back a tad.  Small cobby body of slender bone for a male. Short tail needs more rings. He has fawning to his face currently which I hope dissipates. His coat lacks life and density thus lying a tad flat. The pattern is rather vague and butterfly muddled, as are the oysters with very brindled ground so lacking the required definition.

BLACK SILVER TABBY FEMALE

1St CC & BOB POTTS’ VINMAR SILVA-BELLA 11.4.07 Cobby lass of good weight and bone for her age. Round head marginally flat between the ears but has good width and set. Short nose, wee bump in profile, level bite and good chin. Cheeks filling well. Hazel toned round eyes of good size and spacing. Muscular body stands on fairly short legs to body. Tail is broad at base tapering to a rounded tip of quite good length. Nice expression, open type. Short dense coat a tad soft. The pattern is quite a nice black, much less brindling than the rest of the class hence the better contrast. The butterfly is a mite vague but obvious, oysters are better but slight brindling to the centre. Straight tramlines with very little brindling. The ground is brindled marginally between the tramlines but very little elsewhere. Spotty toes. Nice pale silver to contrast with pattern.

2ND BUJALASKA-AXON’S SARGENTA SILVER YOELLA 31.07.07 Strapping lass of fabulous bone. Large round head tapers to a slight pointed muzzle at present with good width between ears that are rather large, fairly short nose with large bump in profile. Level bite and chin with good fullness to cheeks. Large round green eyes to centre, hazel outer. Large well-built body of excellent weight standing long and tall and just needs to fill out her frame. Her coat is short and fairly crisp with quite good density. The pattern is not as well defined today as the winners due to heavy brindling in both pattern and ground. Butterfly just about evident, tramlines vague and very brindled ground in-between and too sooty. Oysters quite well shaped but brindled to centre and surrounded by incomplete rings. Contrast could be better. Very short tail that lacks rings. Fawning to muzzle and paws. Little nervous.

3rd. PANTING’S  ADSETSH TABITHATWITCHET 26.4.07 Good-sized lass too with quite good bone, supported by short legs but a marginally long body. Round head shape with medium well set but wide based ears but the muzzle is too square.  Short nose, wee bump level bite and chin fairly deep. Cheeks to fill. Pale hazel rounded eyes. Coat is long and soft and needs more density and texture in fairness. The pattern is brownish black, palish silver ground that is also brindled so the contrast could be better. Clearly defined oysters of quite nice shape but brindled. Butterfly vague and very brindled. Tramlines fairly straight, brindled ground in between. Tail is a good length and fairly broad at base with fair rings.

RED CREAM OR TORTIE TABBY ADULT FEMALE

BOB ONLY; AWARDED TO MCKEE’S CH MAYFAY COSETTE 12.11.05 This lass’s bite is just about acceptable, being marginally undershot.  Very nice pattern and eye colour.

AC SELKIRK REX KITTENS

1ST & BOB CREATON & WALKER’S CURLU NATE (79L15) 19.4.08  I see I judged this handsome chap a few months ago from my notes. My comments are the same except he has grown and his ruff has blossomed! Very good rectangular shape to his muzzle now too. Cracking black semi longhair with a proper Selkirk look about him. Excellent boning to this massive kitten!  A heavy solid chap with a good rectangular body and medium length thick legs with a full balanced curly tail. Round head, correct medium sized ears set wide apart; short downward slanting nose, level bite and good depth to chin. Excellent width across the cheeks with curly whiskers and eyebrows. Large round cheeky looking eyes! Well-padded whisker pads. Fabulous ruff and tail plumes and his coat is excellent, all over waves and curls loosely set in an unstructured way.

2nd LEE’S SEWNSEW WOTSITABOUT ALFIE (79S 16) Smaller framed lad but of excellent weight and bone for his size. Large round head, good width between ears I would say are just smaller than can be described as medium, not quite a broad at base as I would like to see and set a little upright. Round eyes but marginally deep-set and a little small in size for balance, short downward slanting nose, level bite, good depth to chin but showing acne today. Very good width across the cheeks, nice rectangular muzzle developing. Good coat texture, stands away well over most of his body, marginally straight on his back otherwise promising waves, especially on his tummy, around his neck and on his legs. Tail is short to balance. Rectangular body shape developing well, medium length well boned legs.

AC SELIRK REX KITTEN FEMALE

1st MURRAY’S PHENLIES MEMPHISBELLE (79S30G) 19.6.08 Small lass of average bone and still to develop a rectangular body shape. Nice weight for her size but she is slender boned with dainty paws. Nice breadth across the chest but resembles a British shape rather than Selkirk. Her head is round, eyes are not quite rounded they prick up at the corners giving them a slant. Good width across the cheeks, level bite and chin of good depth. Downward slanting nose. The muzzle is still to develop shape. Tail is short to balance and ends in a point rather than rounded. Promising coat, stands away well, lovely plush texture already! Well done. Very good curls around the neck belly and chest. Whiskers are short and straight as are eyebrows.

BLACK SILVER TABBY MALE NEUTER

1ST PC W/H MADEN’S PR LIMATZ WILLY WONKA 3.7.07 Immature rather wedge headed male for his age, lacking fullness of cheeks too. He is well grown and muscular supported by strong well-boned legs but he is long bodied. He has large flared ears that are wide at base, long nose, fairly rounded pale gold eyes, sadly, maybe the hall lighting here? Tail is long and lacks rings. Short but flat coat, it seemed the undercoat had been stripped out? Pale black pattern vague butterfly also due to brindling, oysters better. Brindled ground thus lacking contrast, sooty areas distracting from contrast too today I am afraid.

BLACK SILVER TABBY FEMALE NEUTER

1ST PC&BOB MADEN’S PR LIMATZ TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS 3.7.07 Litter sister and far better in type, bone, coat and pattern in my opinion. Fairly round headed, better width across the cheeks and not as muzzle as her brother. Large green rounded eyes, nice expression. Fairly short nose, level bite and good chin. Well grown body of substance supported by strong boned legs, Tail rings good to a balanced tail. Good dense black pattern that has a clear contrast against the ground. Straight tramlines. Nice coat, short has more density and texture than her brother.

BLUE BURMESE KITTEN FEMALE

1ST BOB Not awarded. WILSHAW’S ROSSIKHAN DARLING DAISY 21.7.08 21.7.08 Very dainty lass of small build but nice weight for her size. Slender legs and oval paws, tail of very good shape but is short to balance and has small invisible defect at the last vertebrate as confirmed by a Full judge. Her head is slightly out of proportion to her body and could be described as “dainty” The wedge is short and has good width at the cheeks, tapers to a blunt finish but the chin is shallow so the overall depth isn’t quite as I would prefer to see at this age. Level bite. Very good width across the rounded dome between correct ears for set but marginally large at present.  Her yellow eyes are a good shape and set with a rounded lower line and gentle slant to the topline, but I would prefer to see them larger; The nose is short with a distinctive break in profile but rolls off at the very tip.  Super colour being a pale soft blue toned, but currently shows a fair bit of fawning on various areas, particularly to the face where there is contrast masking. The coat length is quite short and lays fairly well , very much a baby coat as yet. There is a light silvering to the legs and ears and face. I did deliberate on whether to withold the BOB on this baby, but I decided the size of the eyes and head and tail justified my decision today.

AC SELF BSH ADULT M/F

1ST HAZEL’S WYREWOOD CONQUEROR (79S15) 6.6.07 My word he has grown and developed into a strapping and wonderful example of a Selkirk rex! Huge lad of incredible bone and weight, such a fantastic ambassador for this breed! Excellent type and wonderful coat. I might as well just copy the standard and say how excellent this cat is! Well done!

2nd. HARRISON & GRIBBEN’S CH CRAZIPUSS CALLMECHARLEY (17) 28.10.06 Super example of a proper cream British shorthair! Gorgeous type, eyes, coat and bone. I wish I had bred him myself! Congratulations, he is gorgeous.

3rd. MARTIN’S CH ADSETSH BLUE SAFFIRE (16) 9.9.06 Another promising lass, lovely type and eye colour. excellent sound coat too. Good size and weight.

AC BURMESE LIMIT ADULTS M/F

1ST MATTHEWS KATCHYN KONTIKI (27) M. 7.2.08 Mature lad for his age, lovely solid feel about him, very good weight too ably supported by shapely proportionate legs and large oval paws. Very nice shaped tail to balance with rounded tip. Short, deep, wide wedge that tapers to a blunt finish. Very good width between ears of good set and tilt forward, rounded brow. Excellent break to his short straight nose but just rounds off at the very tip. Level bite and medium depth level chin. Yellow chartreuse expressive eyes set wide apart and of correct size and shape, nice Burmese expression. Short fine close lying chestnut brown coat, lovely sheen to it, even on the main body area with just one or two white hairs and a very faint unbroken necklace and very faint smudges to his thighs, otherwise a promising chap!

AC BURMESE JUNIOR ADULT M/F

1ST MATTHEWS’ CH KATCHYN BLUE HAZE (27g) F. 23.6.07 Excellent size and weight to this lass who shows good maturity for her age with proportionate shapely legs and oval paws, good shaped tail but slightly short to balance, showing some tension around the tip today. Super depth and width to her short blunt wedge, good chin and level bite, just slightly pinched. Gentle rounding to the brow, which is of very good width between medium forward tilting ears. Super pale yellow expressive eyes set wide apart and display the Burmese expression well. Very good break to her short straight nose. Lovely attractively mingled short fine and close lying coat of super texture and fairly soft toned colours.

2nd MATTHEWS KATCHYN KONTIKI M.

3RD. YARDLEY’S PAPAGENA XWEET CICELY (27) F. 9.9.07  Quite a good sized girl of good weight for her proportions with slender legs and dainty oval paws, just a little out of balance overall today.  Tail of good shape and balance, I felt some tension at the tip and hope its transient. Short wedge of nice width at the cheeks but I would prefer more depth from top of head to lower jaw and I feel she is slightly fine at the muzzle as yet. Gently rounded brow between generous sized ears at present. Marginally long nosed with good break in profile. Level bite but chin recedes. Pale yellow eyes of good size and shape and slant to nose. Promising coat for length and texture, lays well. Rich but slightly uneven chestnut brown coat, contrast masking and unbroken necklace with feint smudges.

AC BSH BREEDERS KITTEN FEMALE

1ST HOLLOWAY’S RAYANSHEL LILLY LUVBUG (31A) 27.4.08 Cracking Blue&White bi-colour I see from my notes I judged late last year. Fulfilling all of her early promise. My comments are the same. Very promising kitten indeed!

2nd CHANCE’S CHARMODEN DYNOMITE (30A) 30.7.08 Needed 2 1st places here as this kitten is gorgeous! Lovely type and balance, cracking coat and colour too. Very good spots, just some minor linkage, excellent ground colour for her age. Coat a tad soft, which dropped her down 1 place, otherwise a super kitten.

EXTRA 2ND. BROWN’S KOLINGA MIU MIU (16) 15.4.08 Gorgeous blue girl also written about recently, marked down a little because of the length/texture of her coat but a super type lass and has excellent bone.

3RD. KNAPP’S KERNMERE CONSTANCESPRY (28) 30.7.08 Pretty lass, just hope she doesn’t get any more cream coming through as she is just a little over the top on cream to blue mingling for balance.

AC BURMESE KITTENS NON BREEDER, M/F

1ST. VICKERY’S KATZKADE SUZANNE (27C) F 15.5.08 Nice sized baby of good weight for her size and shapely legs with dainty oval paws. Good shaped tail to balance with oval tip. Moderate wedge of quite good depth and width at the cheeks. Large ears set fairly wide apart with gentle rounding to brow in-between. Long straight nose with good break. Level bite and chin, but slightly fine at the muzzle. Eyes of quite good shape but need to be larger and set wider apart to achieve the typical look. Slightly long coat that lays quite well, fairly even, cool even dove grey with slight blueish tones to the face.

2ND WARD’S COOMAKISTA BAZILLE (27) M 2.8.08 Quite a good size and weight with slender legs and large oval paws, tail of good shape to balance. Short wedge of quite good depth and width overall. Very gentle rounding to brow between large ears, slight forward tilt. Short nose but it rolls off at the tip, good break in profile. Level bite, marginally shallow chin. Eyes could be set wider apart and have a fuller lower line to improve the expression for me. Colour yellow chartreuse. Uneven fairly rich chestnut brown baby coat, a little long but lays well and is fairly fine. Contrast masking to face.

AC BURMESE KITTEN 6MTHS AND OVER M/F

1ST MOORE’S DULCEMARA POLYDORUS (27) 4.7.08 M Very stylish young man with lovely typical Burmese type and expression. Excellent size and super weight and muscle tone with slender proportionate legs and large oval paws. Tail is balanced and of good shape with paintbrush tip. Super short blunt wedge of good depth and width at the cheeks. Medium ears of good set and set wide apart. Super eyes of typical expression, correct shape, good size and set wide apart, yellow in colour. Short straight nose with good break in profile. Level bite and chin of good depth. Superb short coat that is fine and close lying, lovely satin quality to it already and is a rich chestnut brown. Very promising baby.

2nd MOORE’S DULCEMARA PETRONELLA (27c) 4.7.08 F Similar look to the winner, I see they are siblings.  Also of good size and weight            she has good muscle tone too with slender legs and dainty oval paws. The tail is a super shape and length tapering to a paintbrush tip. Short blunt wedge of good depth and width with slightly generously sized ears of good tilt and set and has rounded brow in between.  Yellow chartreuse expressive eyes of excellent shape and size and set wide apart. Short straight nose with good break in profile. Level bite and chin of good depth. Lovely coat for her age, short, fairly fine and lays well of promising texture. Warm pale and even dove grey but in this light it isn’t easy to see pinky hues.

3rd. STEPHENS MILLGILL YACKETY YAK (27g) 15.4.08 Recently judged and she has grown!. Of quite good weight and overall size with proportionate legs and oval paws. Good shaped tail to balance, felt some tension at the tip I now don’t consider this a defect.  Short blunt wedge of quite good depth and quite good width with a rounded brow between slightly generous ears of correct forward tilt. Fairly short nose rounding off at the tip, good break. Level bite and chin of just about medium depth that lines up. Chartreuse eyes I would prefer fuller and a more rounded lower line. Slightly long coat that is reasonably fine, lays quite nicely and has a pleasing feel and a nice blend of soft blue and pale cream blotching.

EXTRA 3RD. GILES’ RAWEKE SOMETHING BLUE (27g) Very well grown lass of solid feel, very good weight too supported by slender legs and large oval paws. Tail of good shape to balance. Short wedge tapering to a pinched muzzle, good width across the cheeks but would prefer more overall depth. Rounded brow between medium forward tilting ears but would prefer them set wider apart. Good break to straight short nose, level bite but chin is shallow. Good size and shape to eyes of chartreuse in colour. Fairly short coat, lays well of a slightly darker blue and cream, nicely mingled though.

AC BURMESE LIMIT NEUTER MALE /FEMALE

1ST WRIGGLESWORTH’S MOLYNMEUX ISOBEL (27a) FN 1.2.08 Well grown lass but a little out of balance and immature as yet. She is a good weight for her size, nice solid feel about her with slender legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape but marginally short to balance. Generous ears set fairly wide apart but held slightly flared. Moderate wedge that I would like to see have much more depth and width; it tapers to a fine and pinched muzzle. Slightly long nose but needs a much more distinctive break to be correct. Level bite and but chin but is shallow and recedes. Good shape to eyes, nice size and expression of pale yellow in colour, but need to be set wider apart. Soft blue toned coat that shows fawning, lays well and is fairly fine and short; good silvering around the ears and feet.
