Many
thanks to Helen Sean and Sue for inviting me back, I had a smashing day with
some beautiful cats and was ably assisted around the hall today by Pat Tegg,
thank you Pat! I had some excellent kittens to chose my Best British Kitten
from and finally awarded a cracking black baby the BIS called Trubrit Black
Tulip owned by Mrs Crowther and bred by Val and John Shepherd. My second choice
followed closely wa sa beautiful blue girl called Rayanshel Ooh La La..aptly
named!

CH HAZEL’S GR CH WYREWOOD CONQUEROR (79s 15) 6.7.07. All I really need to write
about this wonderful chap is WOW! He looked every inch a true majestic Selkirk
today. Excellent type, massive broad full cheeked head, correct ears for set, shape
and width across a very broad top. Super profile, rounded brow, short straight
downward slanting nose, level bite and good chin. Full chubby cheeks. Well
padded whisker pads when viewed from the side, medium width muzzle thus giving
rise to a rectangular appearance. Lovely large rounded eyes set well apart.
Broad deep chest and flanks, powerful muscular solid body of excellent weight
supported by thick medium length legs thus having a rectangular body shape.
Fabulous thick tail with waves. His black coat today was stunning, short, even
length, thick and dense which stands away well and the waves were right to the
root and what superb texture!
RES
IMP GR CH POTTER’S GR CH PAMPURRED PABLO HONEY (31f) 20.4.06 Big teddy bear of
a cat, not quite showing the maturity of head type as the younger winner today,
he has a nice round top of head but it tapers just marginally at the muzzle,
excellent fullness to cheeks, neat ears set wide apart. His eyes are a stunning
copper orange and are nice and round. His body is cobby in shape and he is a
very good weight supported very ably by lovely tree trunk this legs. His coat is a warmer cream than I would like
personally but it is much more sound and even than I have seen, much improved
it is short and dense and crisp too. The white areas were well prepared, a
clean bright white too. He is within the min 1/3rd to max ½ white
proportions to colour.

HOWARTH’S KATILICIOUS GRAYSON 9.7.07 Nice cobby stocky chap with good boning to
his short legs. Nice thickness to tail but it shows rings presently. His head
shape is rounded with very good width between his ears which are neat in size.
His profile is rounded leading to a short nose, bite is level but chin is
shallow and falls away. Good cheeks. lovely round eyes of light copper,
promising colour. Short dense baby coat, quite woolly at the moment is nice and
sound to roots but has a light silvering at the moment.
2nd
LAINSBURY’S BARTRAZ ARCHER 4.5.09 He is a good sized lad with fair boning to
his short legs, well grown and solid. However his head shape is not at all
rounded and his muzzle is too prominent; his ears are very large and sit too
upright. His eyes are rather bulbous; very pale almost hazel coloured instead
of gold or orange or copper with a green rim evident at the moment although
they are a good shape. i.e. rounded. His nose is a trifle long, the bite is
level. His chin is weak and shallow. His coat which is fairly short, lays flat
as it lacks density, it is also very unsound and very very silvered. I did
consider withholding 2nd award today.

& BOB HOLLOWAY’S RAYANSHEL OOH LA LA 18.5.09 Superb kitten of quality!
Cobby, deep broad chest and flanks, stands 4 square supported by very well
boned short legs. Tail is broad at base and balanced. Her lovely head is apple
shaped with excellent width between medium sized well placed ears. In profile
the head is rounded, the nose is short and straight, bit correct and chin firm
but just slopes back. Excellent cheeks. Her eyes are well rounded, set well
apart and of a promising deep gold. Short very dense crisp coat, sound to roots
of good length, just a trifle silvered at the very tips. A very promising baby.
2nd
WOLFE’S BUMPKIN VIENNA 9.7.09 The baby of the class and for me unlucky to meet
the winner. I loved her! She too is a good weight and size for her age, shows
good balance and is 4 square. Her legs are short and well boned. Tail is a mite
short but is broad at base and is rounded at the tip. She too has an apple head
shape with promising ears set and spacing, just a little square in the muzzle
at present. Good little chubby cheeks. Her eyes are rounded and a super copper
colour already! Broad level bite and firm chin. She is a little darker than the
winner, more of a baby woolly coat which in itself is very promising as it is
nice and short and dense, just has darker guard hairs. Very pretty baby and
also one to watch!
3rd.WEBB’S
LILYBELLS KOH SAMUI 9.4.09 A very good sized lass, but could be slightly more
muscular and weighty for her frame. Nice open type. Her head is nicely rounded
with good cheeks; her ears are just over medium in size and set well apart. In
profile the brow rounds to a short straight nose, bite is level but chin is
rather shallow. Cobby body with good bone. Tail balances. Her eyes are still
rather pale which does detract, they are more of a muddy olive in this light so
I hope they improve in natural light? Her coat is dense but it is a fraction
long and soft, it seems more silvered in this lighting than when last judged
from my notes too and more unsound. I hope her faults today are transient as I
liked her type!
4th.
POTTERS’ BLENIM BLUE DAKOTA 10.5.09 This baby girl was let down by an
incredibly silvered coat! Such a pity we are seeing more and more silvering and
it is becoming heavier too, which isn’t desirable in this breed. Her head is
fairly well rounded, medium well set ears set fairly well apart. Her cheeks
need to fill out more to balance the face. Her eyes are round and have a pretty
expression, gold in colour, set well apart. Short straight nose, level bite but
the chin is shallow and slopes back. Her body should be much more muscular and
weighty for her age and her legs are a trifle slender boned. Her coat is fairly
short, it’s a darker blue but is unsound and very silvered and soft to touch.
Personally I am not convinced she will make the grade, sorry.

& BOB WILLIS’ LORRCLAWS CLOUDED-LEAOPARD 26.3.09 Love the name!At the moment
he is a little out of balance, he must have had a big growth spurt as he has a
huge frame and excellent bone and his head isn’t quite balanced to his large
body. His head is quite nicely rounded just tapers to a slightly squared muzzle
at present; medium sized easr to grow into set well apart with quite good
fullness to cheeks, just needs filling out more to balance his large head. In
profile the head is well rounded, the nose is short and broad, bite is level
and chin fairly firm. His eyes are a wee bit deep set they are nice and round
and have a good expression, pale gold in this light. Solid weighty body good
muscle tone and feels nice and firm.
His coat is short, dense and crisp with dark brown pattern against a
light warm copper ground but greys at the roots. The spots are linked more on
one side and there is a little linkage down the spine line and sides. Good leg
bracelets and necklaces and
thumbprints. Lovely temperament.

(BOB N/A) WORSLEY-WARING’S SATINMIST SUPURR-MADISON (36b) 18.3.09 he is quite a
well grown kitten but could be a little heavier and muscular for her size. The
head shape is fairly rounded, ears are largeish, set well apart. The profile is
rounded and leads to a short nose. Bite is level but the chin slopes back and
needs more depth. The muzzle is quite squared too and I would prefer more
fullness to her cheeks. her eyes are rounded and pale gold but she has a
distinct green rim in this light, pretty expression. her coat is a bitter dark
toned chocolate for colour, obvious smoke undercoat showing good contrast but
she is very heavily tabby marked. It is a tad long and soft and lay slightly
flat. Sorry to withold the BOB today but it is an accumulation of minor faults
but predominantly the tabby markings.

& BOB MOORHEAD’S PENNYDOWN GISELLE F 7.5.09 Pretty baby, lovely open face
and expression. Apple head shape just a fraction square in the muzzle, nice
cheeks filling. Her ears are a little large in size and set well apart. The
nose is short and straight with a bright pink rather than brick leather. Bite
is level and chin firm. Cobby little body, slightly slender boned legs. Her
eyes are nice and rounded but pale green with good mascara outlined. Her coat
is short, a fraction soft and quite dense. The tipping is light and even with
contrast against a clean silvery white undercoat.
2nd ROWE’S HEATHDOWN MAYBE BABY 26.3.09 Well
grown kitten of good weight and feels nice and solid. Good bone too. Her head
is rounded but slightly out of balance to her large body today. Her ears are a
fraction large, set well apart. The nose is short and straight, bite is level
and chin fairly firm. Her eyes are very pale at present but there is green to
the centre. Her coat is short and dense and a good texture with heavy tipping
almost like a blanket which is fine as
it is reasonably even. However she has heavy fawning and some spotty ghost
markings which at the moment do detract, pity.

PC & BOB WHINES’ ADTRESH PURDIE 7.6.03 A lovely statuesque mature lady.
Excellent type and balances just a pity about her pale eye colour. Super head
shape, well rounded, plenty of width between neat ears set well. Fat chubby
cheeks. Large round pale gold eyes, lovely expression. Short nose, level bite and
chin of good depth. Cobby firm body a tad plump around her middle, supported
ably by short thick legs. Her tail is broad at base and tapers to a rounded
tip, just slightly fawned though. Her coat is short dense and crisp! She has a
slight fawny tinge to the tips of the fur that I put down to still being able
to “sunbathe”? Its sound coat, good
colour too.

and powerful lad for his age! Excellent example and what a coat too! fabulous
broad full cheeked head with correct medium ears set well apart and broad at
base. Full chubby cheeks. Correct profile. Level bite and chin of good depth
but just slopes back. Lovely expressive eyes that are well opened and round.
Obvious padding to the whisker pads when viewed from the side, medium breadth
to his muzzle giving rise to a rectangular appearance. Broad deep chest and
flanks. Superb coat, loads of waves all
over the body head and legs, super soft feel and stands well away from the
body. Just loved his tail I could do
with that for catching my spiders and their webs in my house! His whiskers are
straighter than I would like but this dosnt detract at all. I loved him.

PC RYAN’S CURLU NEVE (40/5) 19.4.08 I had a hard task choosing between these
two lovely cats for the BOB, both worthy! Super type to this girl, excellent
broad and full cheeked head, rounded profile to a short downward slanting nose
with a good bite and chin. Correct medium broad based ears set well apart.
Lovely eyes, I must comment on their colour, a super blue most Colourpointed british
breeders would kill for! For me her muzzle is just about medium in size, its
well padded when viewed from the side though, so not quite achieving the shape
as much as neo for me.Her coat is well waved but just a fraction less waved on
her back, plush feel and stands away well from the body. 2 super cats!

(BOB N/A) JEFFREY’S KATSPELL GEORGY GIRL 23.4.09 An alert baby with a smashing
personality, very playful and loved her cuddles. At the moment she is
unbalanced and may need some time to bring it all together. She is a medium
sized baby with well-rounded chest, straight back, slender proportionate limbs
and neat oval paws. She is a good weight and has a pleasing firm feel about
her. Her tail is a trifle short to balance, tapers to a fine tip where there is
just a small fault at the very end. Her head forms a moderate wedge that has
good width at the cheeks; tapering to a pinched muzzle slightly elongated
muzzle. Gentle rounding to the top of head with fair width between generous
ears, though she tends to hold them upright instead of following the outer line
of the wedge, thus unbalancing the head lines. The bite is level; chin is
medium depth but recedes just a trifle. In profile the head has acceptable
depth, the brow gently rounds and the nose is fairly short with a good break
but it does have a rise to the centre and rolls off at the very tip. Her eyes
are promising; they are set well apart, a good size, yellow chartreuse in
colour with a green rim currently to centre, good fullness to lower line and
topline slants gently to the nose. Her coat is fairly short, a little longer
down her back, lays well in keeping with her stage of development for texture.
The colours are well mingled mid seal brown, she is darker on her body than her
head at present too with a range of very pale reds. Pretty mingling to her
face. BOB not awarded today due to the accumulation of faults, I do hope she
comes together, she has a nice expression !

crisp coat, clearly defined pattern , clear oysters that almost match,

Lovely balanced lines to this lady who is maturing well. She is an
elegant cat who is firm bodied, medium in size and is an excellent weight with
nice rounding to her chest and straight backed with slender shapely legs and
neat spoon-shaped paws. Her tail is a good shape and balances. Her head forms a
short wide blunt wedge with very good width to her gently rounded top between
ears of acceptable size and set well apart. In profile the brow rounds gently
to her short nose, just a slight rise to centre, with a distinctive break. The
depth of the wedge is excellent. Bite is correct as is chin. Her eyes are
gorgeous! Large, lustrous, set well apart and of correct shape, lovely golden
yellow in colour and have a super typical expression! Her coat is lovely,
