A very very busy day at this show, a very good entry indeed! My thanks to Roan Hoare who stepped into the breach when my booked steward was unable to attend. Ron had an interesting day I am sure with the large and sometimes temperamental British. The Burmese were their usual wonderful selves!
AC BRITISH PREMIER NEUTER MALE
GR PR MOORE’S GR CH & PR VALPETINE BRIGADOON (31a) Huge solid and thick set masculine lad! Big round head, plenty of width between medium ears well set. Very good breadth to cheeks. Large round orange eyes, good nose and chin and bite. Very good chest and flanks. Short thick legs. Fully coloured tail that is a good length and thickness. A darker shade of blue to the self coloured patching than my personal preference but nevertheless it was sound and had very little silvering. His white was pristine and well within the required ratio. Nice small white blaize to face. Generally good demarcation between colour and white areas, very few scattered white hairs. Nice overall balance.
RES GR PR WITHEY’S IGR PR STONNALL ROCKEE (30d) A lovely colour of rich red this chap but today he was a tad unhappy and didn’t show himself well. Lovely eye colour, spots suffering just a mite from seasonal change.
AC BRITISH PREMIER NEUTER FEMALE
GR PR STANLEY’S GR CH & PR LORASTON AMARIGE (40/7) Big solid and mature balanced cream Colourpointed lady. Excellent condition and weight, still firm bodied at nearly 6 yrs old. Lovely round head shape, very good width across the top, neat ears of good set. Excellent fullness to cheeks. Large round pale blue eyes. Correct nose, bite and chin. Good breadth to chest and flanks and boning to legs. Nice balance. Good tail thickness tapering to a rounded tip. The coat is short dense and crisp. Her mask is a good shape, hasn’t bled to the sides, legs and ears similar in tone, just the tail a mite warmer and shows some rings. Tonal body shading to flanks and partially along back however still shows the requisite contrast. Very relaxed lady.
RES GR PR. FEATHERSTONE’ PR PLUMEOIERRE SILVER BELLE (18) Big cobby lass of excellent weight and firm body. I liked her very much, good open type and large round pale green eyes. Nice fullness to cheeks. Just down pointed her for the brindling in the ground. Good Oyster shape, minor brindling again. Coat just a tad long but reasonable density for time of year. Tail is very short!
BLACK BRITISH ADULT
BOB CONSIDERED AND AWARDED TO: SHEPHERD’S CH TRUBRIT HAPPY GOTH. Small but perfectly formed lovely girl!
BLUE BRITISH ADULT
1ST CC & BOB WEBB’S KOLINGA ELWOOD JACK Smallish chap overall and actually quite a “pretty boy” Nice head shape and body shape and bone. Lovely round orange eyes, very good colour! Short dense coat, almost sound, slight silvering. Mid blue on shade, crisp texture developing. Young lad at 11mths with it all to come now he is maturing well I suspect. He has come on a great deal since I now see I judged him as a baby.
CNH KRAUSE GR CH ADFURCH BLUE TYCHO . we tried a few times letting him relax but he really isn’t happy on the show bench anymore as we have seen this temperament developing over the last year or so.
Withdrawn: PALMER’S TISHKABAR AVALON.What a pity! Quite nice looking cat, hope what is needed to descend does so!
BI-COLOUR BRITISH ADULT MALE
1ST CC RUSE KABENBE JACK THE LAD (31a) Long tall rangy chap lucky to get the CC today. Moulting heavily too. Good sound coat, though and nice shade of blue. Head type still coming on. Do watch the show preparation with the bright yellow staining on his hocks. Nice white collar and white ratio well within required minimum to limit. Cute blue patch on chin. Do also take care with preparing the coloured areas to white, lots of scattered hairs.
BOB : POTTER’S GR CH PAMPURRED PABLO HONEY. (31f) Looking quite well worked today, thin at quarters and maybe lost some weight since last seen? Difficult times these studs in the summer. Moulting heavily too.
TIPPED BRITISH ADULT
1ST CC & BOB N/A BROWN’S ACRESWAY ILIANA F. Not seen since a kitten I think? She is rather small and lightweight I am afraid. Her eyes seem to be quite bold and actually seem too big for her face so she is out of balance. Large ears and a shallow chin don’t help actually, also if she had fuller cheeks she may look better, time of year I am sure. Her eyes didn’t seem that rounded, they appeared almost almond shape but a lovely colour! Lovely tipping! Beautiful and even, therefore a pity today to have to withold. Time is on her side.
AC BRITISH COLOURPOINTED ADULT MALE
1ST CC CARTER’S MALRIC GET CARTER (40/2) Glad to see this lovely lad correctly registered from a lilac? To a blue. He is such a lovely shade of blue with the correct glacial white coat corresponding colour and has excellent contrast. Very good head type and body. Excellent coat, short dense and crisp. Even points colour except the tail which is slightly fawned, may benefit from some show preparation? Good size and weight and is well developed and cobby.
2ND PALMER’S DIXYLAN FIRSTLOVE (40/3) Just a few months older but has gone out of balance and rangy. Head type is fair, his nose has a very distinct break, almost a stop. Muzzle is quite prominent. His ears are a trifle large but then I suspect he needs to grow into them judging by his paws. Rich chocolate points, brindling to legs though. Good contrast to body colour. Coat is short but heavily moulting and lots of dead hairs so he could benefit from some extra show preparation ? Tail is a tad long and slightly brindled at present too. Good weight for his long tall frame.
WRONG COLOURED: HALLATT’S TREADFAST MOONLIGHT GLOW : ENTERED AS RED AND IS CLEARLY A CREAM as discussed with owner.
AC COLOURPOINTED BRITISH ADULT FEMALE
1ST CC & BOB AND MY BEST ADULT WINNER! DAVIS’ WESTWAYS AVALANCHA (40/10) Beautiful example of this breed, such gorgeous head type and balance. Lovely light toned lilac and cream mingled points all matching. Clear magnolia coat. For perfection I would prefer it more crisp but she just oozes type and balance! Very nice eye colour.
2nd STANLEY’S TANGLEKEYS MADEMOISELLE (40/10) Ran winner close, a tad older but not quite as balanced a mite hotter in colours. Nice open type and eye colour. Just a little leggy at present. Good weight. Faint tabby markings down pointed her too today. All to come in her stride I am sure. Lovely nature.
SELKIRK REX ADULT MALE
1ST CC & BOB NEVIN’S CULY RESCUE VAN BRIFETY (79L 40/7) Young one year old lad of promise. Lovely head type and balance of rectangular body to medium well boned legs. His profile is correct, nice puffing of pads and downward slant to short nose. Good chin. Face on he has good breadth at the cheeks and a just about medium sized muzzle. Lovely unstructured loose curls, tighter on his legs and belly and neck. Good ruff and tail plumes. Just watch the nose break it is a tad deep.
RED SELF BRITISH INTERMEDIATE ADULT
1ST IC AND BOB N/A. SHEPHERD’S TRUBRIT RUBY RED Young 10 mths lass who has in my opinion gone “over the top” I loved her as a typy baby but did wonder of she was going to look a bit “exotic” and she does. Her head is very round but her large bold eyes dominate the face and are set really wide apart. Her head is a tad flat in profile and her muzzle is too prominent really for balance. Beautiful red coat! Lovely vibrant colour, maybe she could be used in the breeding as goodness knows we are losing type nowadays in some colours!
BI-COLOUR BRITISH MALE NEUTER
1ST PC MOORE’S GR CH VALPETINA APACHE BY DESIGN (31a) Big lad of same mating as the BOB winner. A mite paler in coat shade and for me not quite the same level of type. Hefty chap! His coat isn’t quite as sound and nor his pattern quiet as balanced as his litter brother.
Also considered for the BOB: MOORE’S GR CH & PR VALPETINA BRIGADOON.
BI-COLOUR BRITISH FEMALE NEUTER
1ST PC & BOB WILLIS’ KABENBE CHAMPAGNE –ZOE (31a) Young lass of balance and a lovely soft toned blue. Nice open pretty type. Good sound coat, crisp to touch. Some scattered white hairs could be better prepared but overall nice divisions between the self coloured areas and white. Chin a tad shallow. Good cheeks.
BROWN BURMESE KITTEN
1ST & BOB MATTHEWS’ KATCHYN NIKKO A very well developed lad for just under 4.5 months! Super size and weight to his firm lithe body, he has very good muscularity and judging by his large oval paws and frame he may well be a big lad! His tail is a good shape and length and balances. The head forms a super short blunt wedge that is wide at the cheek bones with marginally generous ears that are set well apart a gently rounded top. Super profile, excellent depth to the head and chin lines up nicely. Nose is short and straight till the very tip where it just round s trifle, reasonable break. I loved him face on! Super expression developing to his large lustrous eyes, good rounding to lower line and topline when he relaxes, round very gently. Good bite, just shows a teething pinch at present. His rich chestnut brown coat is fairly short, still changing, shows some warmth, just lengthens down his back. Very faint smudges to thighs otherwise nice and even. Very alert and a confident friendly lad.

AC BRITISH NON BREEDERS ADULT FEMALE
1ST HALLATT’DS PURWELL PHOENIX RISING (30e) Originally entered in my Bi-colour class which we got changed and corrected. She is a dainty small lass, spots not really defined, rather linked. Nice colours of the overlay but not quite up to standard today.
AC BRITISH SELF KITTEN
1ST EDNEY’S ROCODANNE CANDYMAN (15) Nicely grown lad of just over 3months bt a little plain in type. Excellent black to his coat, nice to see, not rusty or brown like we tend to see in young blacks. Well grown and has big paws. It will be interesting to see how he develops.
2nd HARDY’S STONNALL ROMANTIC AMIGO (17) Square faced chap, good bone, but needs a little more type for me. He is also a very hot cream, well grown chap but far too hot at this age, sorry. Also his coat is too long and soft.
AC BRITISH NON-SELF KITTEN
1ST PALMER’S TISHKABAR EXTRA SPECIAL(40/9) Super promising kitten, excellent coat!.
2nd CLERKIN’S SILVERCLOUD JUSTA DREAM (39) Beautiful tippy baby I will watch with interest, just wished I had 2 firsts!
AC BURMESE SELF ADULT
1ST. YARDLEY’S CH PAPAGENA XWEET CICELY (27) F Lovely balanced 2.5 year old lady who has a body of good weight for her size with a has a rounded chest and straight back. Her elegant legs are slender with neat spoon shaped paws, her balanced tail is of the correct shape but just a little fine and narrows to a paintbrush tip. Nicely proportioned head with gently rounded top and good width between her medium sized ears that are broad at the base and gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her face. She has a short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, with a level bite. In profile I would like more depth to her head, but she has a rounded brow, good nose break to her short nose that has a very tiny rise to the centre. Her chin is of acceptable depth but it just recedes a trifle. She has beautiful large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes with of the desired shape with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid, with a wonderful and very typical Burmese expression. Her coat is short and close fitting and of a warm seal brown with a lovely sheen.
2nd KENNARD’S CLARKESFIELD UPTOWNGIRL (27b) F. Just over 2 years old and a mature nicely type queen of balance. Elegant lass who is a very good weight and has a nice firm feel about her with slim legs and neat oval paws. Well shaped tail that just balances. Head forms a good short blunt wedge with plenty of width across her gently rounded top of head; ears of correct set and spacing to balance wedge and she has good width at the jaw hinge. Nice profile, brow rounds gently, nose is short and straight with distinctive break with quite good depth from top of head to lower jaw. Chin could just be slightly deeper for perfection. Very nice expressive pale chartreuse lustrous eyes of good size and set well apart. Short pale chocolate coat with a hint of shading down her back at the moment, pale masking to face and ears with subtle warm tones to her body and face too.
3rd. MATTHEWS CH KATCHYN ORANGE BLOSSOM (27d) F Mature 2.5 year old lass of a lovely rich tangerine colour.
EXTRA 3RD. COLE’S GR CH MOLYNMEUX ADORABLE (27b) F Lovely typed girl just showing some slightly uneven darker chocolate tones, seasonal?

AC BURMESE TORTIE ADULT
I could easily have placed these two girls 1st and had to nit pick today on their placing.
1ST. WOODLEY’S CH HONPUSS CARELESS WHISPA (27g) F. On fine form, she appeared to be calling? Good natured though with it! She is a good sized 4 yr old lass of very nice conformation, elegant limbs with neat oval paws and well shaped tail that just balances. Good balance to the wedge both face on and in profile with a nicely rounded top of head between her just over medium sized well placed ears. Distinctive break to her short nose.Very good expression to her eyes of pale chartreuse, excellent shape and size. Would for perfection just prefer a trifle more depth to her chin. Firm muscular body of very nice weight and feel, except she kept raising her bottom! Fairly short coat, lays well. Nice mid toned blue with silvering on shoulders and ears and a warm cream, prettily mingled. Faint necklace. Loved her expression!
2nd JARVIS’ GR CH KYMIAN ROANNA (27j) F 3 years old and has matured very well, I have followed this lovely girl since a kitten. I love her type, she too is balanced and has a lovely firm feel to her. A super elegant lady with slender legs and neat paws. Tail is trifle short to balance. Lovely face and ear set with gentle rounding to her top of head.In profile she has an excellent break to her short nose. Pale warm tones to her chocolate and varying shades of cream, just a fraction uneven today on her back. The coat is beautiful! Very close between these two for me.
3rd. HUTCHISON’S CH BLOOMERS BLING OF IRREP (27h) Younger lass of just over 1 year, just needs to mature, wonderful chirrup!
AC BURMESE JUNIOR NEUTER
1ST BLAKE’S HOBBERDY HOOPSKIPNJUMP (27) Young 1yr old male of nice type and of excellent weight just seems to be going through an adolescent stage? Firm muscular Body of good size, well shaped tail and proportionate limbs. Tail of good length and shape ending in a paintbrush shaped tip. Head forms a short wide wedge with the muzzle a trifle squared. In profile he has a good nose break. Firm level chin. His eyes are large and lustrous with that typical Burmese expression. Very nice coat which is short and close lying and a glossy seal brown in colour. Excellent condition and very relaxed.
AC BURMESE SENIOR NEUTER
1ST HUTCHISON’S GR PR HYPNOS TIGERLILY OF IRREP (27h) FN. Mature fractionally “matronly” lady but I just love her type! Excellent wedge and correct Burmese expression to her pale chartreuse eyes! Beautiful bright warm chocolate and pale red mingling, very attractive indeed. To nit pick I feel her tail is just a little short. Otherwise for me she is just gorgeous!
2ND ELLIS’ IGR PR MAINMAN APOLLO (27b) MN Huge masculine chap of a really lovely typical Burmese look. Good shape to his wedge and of excellent depth. Lovely big expressive eyes with correct rounding to his lower line and top line slants gently to his nose, set well apart. Medium chocolate short fine coat showing some warmth, just a trifle darker down his back.
EXTRA 2ND.WEALE’S UK IGR PR SYLPS HERCULES (27b) My word what a lovely chap for his age! Not much to separate these two old timers! I loved his type too, in fabulous condition and also worthy of 2nd place.
