My grateful thanks to Eleanor Gray who stepped in when I realised I hadn’t booked a steward and she steered me round that hall after recent difficult circumstances and looked after me brilliantly.

IMP GR PR MALE BOOTH’S GR CH & SUPREME GR PR KOLINGA COUGAR (16) 18.6.07 What more can one say about this giant blue teddy bear who became the Overall BIS Neuter last year at the Supreme. It has all been said, he is a Star.

IMP GR PR FEMALE STEELE’S GR CH & GR PR STEELEAWAY SAMSARA (22) 8.8.04. Purred for England to sway the judge! Cobby lass of good weight albeit a fraction “matronly”.Round head shape with large round gold eyes, short nose, level gums, good chin and chubby cheeks. Stands 4 square. Short dense coat but a mite soft. Good clarity in general of patching, dense black, almost sound, rich red but spotted, again almost sound. Spoilt rather by lots of scattered white hairs and did make me ponder for a while on the certificate today but she won me round as she stood telling me she didn’t like having her coat messed with and “arnt I a looker”..so she won!

BROWN BLUE CHOC OR LILAC TABBY ADULT.

1ST CC & BOB MARSLAND –ROUNDS’ CH CATBALU CHIANTI CLASSICO (20b) 29.7.06 Big powerful cobby solid lad of lovely type with big round orange eyes! Excellent width across his top of head, neat ears set well apart. Super chubby cheeks, level broad bite and chin is firm. Tree trunk thick legs! Coat is short and fairly dense of nice texture. Pattern is a warm choclate, with pale silvery choclate ground. The tramlines are straight, butterfly a little vague on the wings due to brindling, oysters obvious just slightly brindled, quite good rings surrounding them. Thick tail with rings.

2nd COULTHURST’S SATINMIST SUPURR SAMSON (20) 18.8.08 Showing some immaturity at present, this brown tabby needs to mature. Round top of head but tapers at the muzzle to a square. Good width between medium ears. Large round eyes but lemony not gold in this light. Level bite and good cheeks. His pattern is lacking contrast at the moment due to heavy brindling. Coat is short and dense. Pale ground colour.

AOC SPOTTED ADULT

1ST CC& BOB MARLAND-ROUNDS’ CATBALU ZODIACAL LIGHT (30a) 9.10.07 Cobby, balanced and pretty! Good head shape with very nice width between her ears. Large round light gold eyes, set well apart. Short straight nose, level bite and fairly firm chin, it just slopes back a little. . Nicely filled cheeks. Weighty, solid and muscular she stands on short thick legs.  Short dense crisp coat. Pale blue spots a little linked down the sides, spotty spine line and leg bracelets. Creamy mushroom ground. A nice girl.

AC COLOURPOINTED ADULT FEMALE

1ST CC&BOB HOLLOWAY’S WINDYMEADOW BABYSHAMBLES (40/10) 4.8.08. Cracking example from this well known Colourpointed breeder! Style, type, coat, balance and charisma! Got the lot! Cobby, 4 square and pretty. Excellent large rounded  blue eyes too! To nit pick I would personally prefer less tonal body shading but it does tone in with the superb points and does have totally sufficient contrast. The points match beautifully and are nicely mingled with lilac and warm cream.

BLACK KITTEN

1ST & BOB SHEPHERD’S TRUBRIT HAPPY GOTH 17.7.09 Cobby, excellent British type and pretty! Excellent coat, sound and short and thick. Very promising kitten and my runner up for BIS kitten.

LILAC NEUTER

BOB ONLY AND AWARDED TO: DUNSTONE’S PR RAYANSHEL GANDALF THEGREY 26.5.08 tetchy chap! But worth getting out and handling him swiftly and deftly.

BLUE BURMESE KITTEN

1ST (BOB NOT AWARDED) MACOY’S VALENTINO RUDOLPH 11.10.09 Probably going through “that rangy kitten stage” this lad, he is a fairly good weight, feels nice and firm bodied, medium in size with slender legs and large oval paws. Tail is a little fine and short to balance. His head forms a fairly short wedge, a trifle fine at the muzzle which is also a little long. Slight muzzle pinch but then he is still teething. The bite is level but the chin recedes. The top of head is very gently rounded between large broad based ears which are also presently set a little high. I would prefer to see more width and more depth from top of head to lower jaw at this age too. His nose is a little long and needs more of a distinctive break. His chartreuse yellow eyes are deep set and could be more fuller and set wider apart to achieve a better expression. Still a baby coat that is fine and lays quite close with good silvering to his legs and face but is fawned on his head and ears and back at the moment. So, today, for me he is not quite “altogether” and the accumulation of small faults added up to why I witheld the BOB today I hope he “comes together” in time.

AC BURMESE JUNIOR ADULT

1ST RANSOM’S CARINIS FIRSTKISS (27) 15.2.08 Lovely balanced girl of style. Well grown medium bodied lass who is an excellent weight and feels nice and firm. Good rounding to her chest and is straight backed. Elegant legs and neat oval paws. Good shaped tail that balances. Nicely rounded head both ways with very good width between medium gently forward tiling ears, correctly following the upper part of the face. The head forms a short blunt wedge that in profile is of good depth and very good width at the cheeks. Very good break to her short straight nose till it just rounds off at the very tip. The bite is correct, chin is firm and deep. Lovely expression to her large chartreuse eyes that are set well apart and of correct shape. Lovely warm, even toned, seal brown coat that shone with health, lays close and is fairly short and fine, just a fraction darker on her face and a few white hairs in her shoulder.

2nd JARVIS’ CH KYMIAN QUIZZICAL (27e) 29.12.08 Well grown lass also feeling nice and firm and muscular with a rounded chest and straight back, slender proportionate elegant legs and neat oval paws. Nicely shaped tail but a trifle short to balance. Her top of head is marginally flattened between good sized ears that are set well apart and of correct set following the lines of the wedge which is nice and short but tapers to a slight muzzle pinch. Good bite and chin is level. In profile the break is fairly distinctive but there is a slight rise to the centre of the nose. I liked her eyes as they are large and lustrous, set well apart and have good rounding to the lower line whilst the topline slants very gently to the nose, strong chartreuse in colour and very expressive. Lovely short fine coat that is also shining with health and is a lovely mix of warm browns and various reds.

3rd DELL’S CH KUPRO RED SASSAFRAS (27d) 10.5.08  Another lovely typed lady, medium firm bodied and of very good weight, supported by elegant slender limbs and oval paws. Her tail is a lovely shape and balances with a super paintbrush tip. Very gently rounded top of head with medium forward tilting ears that are set very well apart and continue the lines of the wedge correctly.  Her head forms short blunt wedge of very good depth and width with, in profile, a short straight nose and good break. Bite is level and chin is a good depth but just recedes a trifle. Expressive large and lustrous eyes of yellow chartreuse, set really well apart and are correct in shape. The coat is a little out of sorts for me today, not feeling really satin like at present, it lays fairly close and is a super rich tangerine but is brindled. Wonderful quirky temperament and obviously in season.

4th RIDDLE’S CATAMARIAN BACCARAT (27) 2.4.08 Fairly well balanced young of excellent weight lady who is an excellent weight for her medium sized frame, tail is balanced and of good shape and her legs are slender and elegant with neat spoon-shaped paws. Her ears are medium in size and spaced well apart a gently rounded top of head. The wedge is short and wide but not quite a blunt finish at the muzzle. In profile the head has good depth and the nose is short and straight with an excellent break. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes that are set reasonably well apart, nice rounding to the full lower line with the top line slanting to the nose. Slightly longer coat, lays well though and is a warm even toned rich brown.

AC BURMESE SENIOR ADULT

1ST KENNARD’S GR CH MAINMAN KISSANOVA (27) 6.4.07 Cracking chap with superb type! Masculine and firm bodied he is an excellent weight with good rounding to his chest and a lovely straight back. Tail is a good shape that just about balances. Shapely proportionate legs and neat oval paws. Excellent width between medium gently forward tilting ears that are correctly follow the lines of the wedge. His head forms a super short wide blunt wedge that in profile shows good rounding both ways to the top of head and has a distinctive break to his short straight nose. Good bite and good depth to his level chin. Superb typical Burmese eyes, large and lustrous, set very well apart and of beautiful shape, yellow in colour. Excellent short fine coat, warm even tones of rich seal brown. Just a few white hairs to the back of the neck.

2nd DELL’S CH KUPRO CREAM CHIFFON (27f) 12.7.05 Lovely typed mature queen of medium size with a good firm feel about her. Elegant slender limbs with neat oval paws and a lovely shaped tail with paintbrush tip but just a trifle short. Good rounding to chest and back is straight.  Super wedge of very good width and overall depth. The top of head rounds gently between ears that are correct for shape and set but the row is just slightly flat. Excellent break to her short nose but rolls off at the tip. Good bite and level chin.  Lovely large expressive chartreuse eyes, set well apart and of very good shape. Her coat is a little long but lays well and is a pleasing even cream showing obvious powdering to her head and ears, just a faint broken necklace evident.

AC BURMESE ARISTOCRAT NEUTER

1ST TAYLOR’S ZIGON QUADRILLE (27h) 15.4.05 Sweet natured lass of good size being medium to long body and of reasonable weight with a fairly firm feel about her. Tail is a trifle short. Her ears are medium in size set quite well apart a very gently rounded top of head, in profile I would prefer to see a little more rounding to the brow. The head forms a short wedge that is fairly blunt, shows good width but would prefer more depth. The nose is short with a good break but just rounds off, the bite is untidy, and chin recedes. Her eyes are set fairly well apart and for me could also be slightly larger with a fuller lower line to achieve the Burmese expression better. Fairly short coat, just opening with the heat of the afternoon, warm toned choclate and pale red mingling with some contrast masking to her face.
