Lovely show and hospitality, I was most grateful to Jette Birch who stepped in to steward as my booked steward was ill.  John and I recently set up Loraston Pet Products and I was delighted to have the opportunity to personally donate in conjunction with Nestle Purina various bags of their dried foods to the Section overall winners and the Overall BIS. You could have knocked me down with a feather when a lovely British neuter owned and bred by Mrs & Mrs Hill, Cateloro Mumbo Jumbo, that I awarded the Best Neuter won the BOV in section and then Overall BIS! Shirley Bullock had a tough choice as a gorgeous Burmese owned and by Anna Virtue called Gr Ch Papagena Vera Boronel bred by Patsy Yardley was runner up. Many congratulations to all!

Short broad straight nose, level bite and chin. Excellent width between medium slightly wide based ears and full fat cheeks. Close couple cobby well developed muscular body supported by shrt strong well boned legs. Good tail and rings. Lovely clear black pattern, very good contrast, bright mid silver ground. Straight tramlines, minor brindling to ground in-between. Crisp short dense coat. A very nice lad!

RES GRCC YOUNG’S CH HARLEME BERTRAND (15) 1YR 5MTHS. Small but cobby and balanced black lad. Nice round head shape, good width between neat ears of good set. Full cheeks. Large orange expressive eyes, very short nose and level bite. Stands four square of good weight and bone. Tail tad short showing some rings. Short dense coat a fraction soft, glossy black a little pale to the roots with a bit of scurf down his back.

AC BSH CHAMPION FEMALE

GRCC HEMMING’S CH POSITIVELY JEMIMA BEDMOLE (15) 3YRS 8MTHS Cobby balanced lady of very good weight supported by short well boned legs and tail is broad at base, balances. Apple head shape, expressive round gold eyes, short straight nose, level bite and good chin with good fullness to cheeks. Excellent width across brow between small ears. Super sound crisp dense shiny black coat.

RES GRCC CROOK’S CH WICKEDWITCH LADY SOPHIE (40/9) 1YR 4MTHS. Large lass a tad long and tall still needing to fill that frame of hers”! Very good bone indeed! Round head with plenty of width between her ears but they are rather wide at the base. Large round mid blue eyes, good nose and bite with nice cheeks. Coat is slightly long and soft, moulting so it’s my guess she needs a good moult before contesting the high awards. Nice mask shape, some tortie shading to her back, warm chocolate and pale reds. Vibrant mingling, very attractive.

BLACK SILVER SPOTTED KITTEN

1ST (BOB N/A) GRIBBEN’S CRAZIPUSS CALAMITY JANE (30S) 6MTHS.Slightly dainty lass of quite good size and weight for her age but with wonderful spots! Her head is fairly rounded, generous ears set well apart. Short straight nose, level bite and chin of medium depth. Short slightly slender boned legs. Short fairly dense coat, still very kittenish, soft to touch. Amazing spots! Various shapes but very well separated indeed, spotty tummy and paws to. Sadly although her eyes are well rounded they are gold, a very slight hint of green is in the centre which I hope spreads in time and this was my only reason for not awarding BOB today.

AC BSH COLOURPOINTED KITTEN

1ST&BOB HOLLOWAY’S WINDYMEADOW NANI (40/8) BLUE-CREAM POINTED CRACKER! Well I might as well just write the standard here, she is everything she should be!  Super type and conformation and coat. Beautiful matching well mingled points. Balanced and cobby of very good weight. Level bite and good chin and cheeks. Excellent bone. Well done I could have put her in my pocket!

2nd. WILLAMS’ CERINDACAT ROYAL EMPRESS (40/4) 7MTHS. My word she is a solid lump! Very deceptively heavy for her frame. Head tapers to appointed muzzle, fairly good width between her ears but they are broad at base and slightly bonneted unfortunately. Short nose, level bite but her chin slopes back, nice cheeks. Long and tall with slightly slender boned legs. Nice mask shape, points are slightly differing in tone, a cool lilac with a bluish hint. Small eyes, nice mid blue colour though. Her coat at present lacks density and lays flat. Out of balance at present.

AC SELKIRK REX KITTEN

1ST & BOB COLLINS’ CURLU PIPER (79l 40/4) 7mths. Nice looking baby nicely grown and already has a correct rectangular medium length body shape. Round head wit broad cheeks, level bite and firm chin. Whisker pads developing nicely when viewed from the side. But from the front the muzzle is still merging slightly and need to develop more of a rectangular shape. Curl whiskers and eyebrows. Excellent coat! Semi ling loos unstructured waves and close curls all over. Lovely ear furnishings and ruff. Tail has good plumage but slightly short to balance the body. Nice mask shape of lilac although it is irrelevant in this breed for points. Promising baby.

CHOCOLATE BURMESE KITTEN FEMALE

1ST & BOB BOND’S ADNIOBU ARMANI ANGEL 4MTHS 3WKS. Well grown alert baby of very good weight for her size and nice and solid with good rounding to chest and slender legs and oval paws. Tail is a good shape to balance. Short wedge with quite good width at the cheeks and overall depth, blunt finish, very slight teething pinch.  Good break to the nose which is short and straight. Correct bite and chin of medium depth just recedes a little though. Nice rounding to brow between generous ears that are set well apart, broad at base and have a gentle forward tilt. Her coat is a little long, kitten texture at the moment of course and lays quite well, minor brindling evident otherwise it’s a warm even pale chocolate... Nice expression developing to her pale yellow eyes that are set wide apart, and of good shape and size. A little poppet!

2nd BOND’S ADNIOBU PRADA PRINCESS 4MTHS 3 WKS. Litter sister to the winner and in some ways very similar and other ways very different, I took my time placing these two! Also a well grown baby of very good weight and solid feel about her. Slender legs and neat oval paws. Her tail is slightly short to balance and not quite as well shaped as her sisters. The wedge isn’t quite as short, not quite as wide and not as deep from the top of head to the lower jaw as her sisters. The forehead is marginally longer in profile and the wedge tapers to a fine muzzle showing a distinct pinch, more so than her sister today. Her ears are large, set fairly wide apart, gentle forward tilt and are broad at base. Her nose is a fraction long, its straight but then rounds off at the very tip. Bite is level with a level medium depth chin. The coat is shorter and lays close and has a nice texture developing. Slightly darker chocolate, 1 feint necklace to her throat. Her eyes are a lovely golden yellow, of fairly good size and shape but are not quite set wide apart as I would like.

ARISTOCRAT BSH ADULT

1ST HOLLOWAY’S WINDYMEADOW GOOD CHARLOTTE (40/10) 1YR 6MTHS Surprisingly nervous this lass didn’t show herself that well so we let her go back in the pen to relax. Small lass of cobby build, good rounding to head with good ears set and size. Round deep blue eyes, well done on this! Level bite and good chin with full cheeks. Quite good bone. Mask a nice shape but tending to a bluish tone lacks pinky hues. Tail is hotter in tones. Nice mingling to the points, a little uneven though for tonal colouring. I would like to see the coat a little more dense too, good length though.

2nd CROOK’S CH WICKEDWITCH LADY SOPHIE

3RD. STILES’ ACHURI MECONOPSIS (16)

DEBUTANTE BSH ADULT

1ST OUGHTIBRIDGE HEARLEY’S TANGLEKEYS TOMINTOUL (40/7) 9MTHS Very well grown lad of fabulous bone, good muscle tone and supported by thick strong legs. Lovely head type, good depth of blue spreading to his rounded eye. Good cheeks, level bite and chin just slopes back a little. Balanced lad. His coat is excellent, short dense and crisp, clear of shading. Mid cream points, Legs paler but this is perfectly acceptable in the standard. Very promising chap.

2nd  CONNEALLY’S TANYRALLT MILLY LE MINX (16) 10MTHS. Lovely balanced lass with neat ears to her apple head shape. Short nose, level bite and good chin Untidy but level bite. Boxy body shape. Fairly short plush coat, slightly soft, a nice shade of blue, showing some silvering at the tips. Short tail, bit nobbly at the tip. Tad nervous.

What a wonderful ambassador for this breed. Well done on his awards!

BURMESE BREEDERS ADULT

1ST GRICE’S CH KIMARLIM WILDSILK (27) F. 3YRS 1MTH   Well grown lady of lovely type. Alert mature lass of excellent weight for her medium frame with elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Tail of good shape just marginally short to balance. Super short wedge that is wide at the cheeks and has excellent overall depth, tapering to a blunt finish. Rounded brow between correct ears for shape and set well apart with gentle forward tilt. Distinctive break to her short straight nose, correct bite and chin. Her coat, which is a glossy rich seal brown, is short, fine and close lying, even toned and of super satin like texture. Chartreuse eyes of lovely shape and set wide apart giving that wonderful Burmese expression! A lovely lady!

2nd HARRIS’S GR CH TALIPAW BELINDA BROWNSILK (27) F 8YRS 6DAYS. Judged I see on many occasions from my notes she is a well built mature lady of excellent weight and still retains muscle tone and body shape despite her age. Medium length body with elegant slender legs and oval paws, her tail is a fraction fine and just a tad short to balance. Super short blunt wedge of very good width and depth, marginal pinch.  Medium gently forward tilting ears are set aside a gently rounded brow. Her nose is short and straight with a good break in profile. The bite is level as is the chin. Her coat is a lovely rich brown, shining with health, lays well, is fine but is short in length. Pale chartreuse eyes of correct shape and fairly good size, set wide apart. We had to wait for her to open her eyes properly which when she did, improved her expression! Lovely temperament.

3rd VIRTUE’S CH HOBBERDY HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY (27e) F 3yrs 2mths. Mature lass of deceptive weight for her medium frame with elegant slender limbs and neat oval paws. Slightly short to balanced tail of good shape with paintbrush tip, invisible pip at the tip. Very gently rounded brow between fractionally generous ears set very well apart and of gentle forward tilt. Short blunt wedge of very good width and depth. Very good break to her short straight nose. Good chin and level bite. Super coat length and texture, lovely healthy sheen to it, lays beautifully and I was very taken with the lovely bright colours of reds and black mingling, very pretty! Large lustrous eyes, good expression set wide apart and of correct shape and set.

BURMESE NEUTER FROM DEVON

1ST HARRIS’ TALIPAW ROYALSILK (27) FN 2YRS 9MTHS. Medium sized muscular well developed body with elegant limbs and oval paws. Tail is slightly short to balance but is a good shape with slight tension at the tip.  Gently rounded brow between large ears of good set and width apart. Super depth and width to the short blunt wedge, chin lines up well. Short nose but it rounds off at the tip and has a very slight bump with good break in profile. Level bite. Super coat, shining with health, a rich warm seal brown, lays close and is fairly short and fine. Chartreuse expressive eyes set wide apart of correct shape.

2nd SQUANCE’S HEGLEGH TIO PEPI (27F) MN 6YRS 10MTHS Large well grown lad of medium to long body, of good weight with  proportionate legs and large oval paws. Tail is short to balance, a trifle thick overall. Moderate wedge, rather a flattened forehead between large ears also slightly flared in set. Fair break to his nose, level bite but shallow receding chin and the muzzle is rather fine. His coat is fractionally long, not really a gradual fade, dark hot cream and is uneven. Unfortunately he also has a white locket to his throat. Large pale chartreuse eyes with a good lower line, topline is slightly rounded and isn’t quite correct. Faint necklace evident too. Lovely temperament, very relaxed.

BURMESE VISITORS NEUTER

1ST.  WILLIAMS’ UK&IGR PR ZAMPETTO LIMITED EDITION (27) FN 6yrs 3wks. Judged I see on numerous occasions she is a super girl I her prime. Excellent weight to her medium frame, shapely elegant legs with oval paws, tail balances of good shape just a mite thick overall I feel. Gently rounded brow between medium ears of gentle forward tilt. Short blunt wedge of very good depth and width at the cheeks. Very good break to her fairly short straight nose, correct bite and chin. Even rich glossy brown coat of super texture, is fine and close lying. Good Burmese expression to her pale yellow eyes, large and of good shape, set wide apart. Lovely temperament too.
