What a lovely show we had, a good entry with some beautiful cats and kittens, well done to all who exhibited today. I was honoured to be judging the Overall BIS today and my choice from 3 super examples was a KITTEN! An absolutely stunning Colourpointed, her debut apparently as was the new owners into the show world I hear. Watch out for Kernmere Sealed Withakiss (40/6) Beautiful matching points, wonderful type and super coat! I stayed with my very good friends Keith and Gerda Stanley and we were delighted to help Mary and her team set up the night before. A very pleasant weekend indeed.
IMP GR PR MALE
IMPGR PR FARMER’S GR PR FARJEM WHITE NIGHT (14a) 2yrs 11mths What a picture he looked today! Fabulous and my runner up for overall BIS. He is a superb big balanced teddy bear of a cat with gorgeous type and balance. Excellent head shape and breadth, neat little ears of excellent set and spacing. Huge fat chubby cheeks. Short broad straight nose, large round soft expressive orange eyes. Bite is level and chin firm and of good depth. Close couple, broad chest and flanks, stocky muscular weighty body with fabulous short thick tree trunk legs and huge scrummy chubby paws. (Gerda almost need assistance!) Correct tail, broad at the base tapering to a rounded tip. Super coat length texture and density, pristine white. Just superb!
RES IMP GR PR BURFORD’S GR CH & GR PR MIBABYESE BOWJANGLES (17) 1YR 10MTHS. A very good-looking cat who has a lovely face and conformation. Of very good size and muscular heavy boned body he too is balanced and stocky. His large head is well rounded and has a good profile too. Neat ears set very really well apart and of correct set. Super chubby fat cheeks. Acceptable bite and very firm chin. His eyes are rounded, slightly sore in one today but it didn’t really detract, good gold colour. Excellent breadth at the chest and rump too. Short thick tail. Super density to his short crisp coat, just fading slightly at the roots and still shows some slight ghosting. A mid shade of cream today in the hall lighting.
IMP GR PR FEMALE
IMP GR PR HILLIAM’S CH & UK IMP GR PR COPPEDHALL PAINTBRUSH (28) 7YRS 2MTHS Well! You could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw who this absolutely beautiful cat was! She really epitomises a blue-cream. She has gorgeous type and eye colour, super apple head shape with neat little ears of excellent set and spacing. Gorgeous orange round wide eyed eyes, short straight nose, good bite and chin and fat chubby cheeks. Stocky, broad chest and flanks, close coupled and stands on short thick legs with round paws. Correct tail. Her mingling is ethereal! Super delicate balance of very pale blue and very pale cream, both sound to the roots, my nitpick is that the blue is a tad silvered. My other nitpick is that she obviously adores her food….other than this she is beautiful and was better tempered than I recall when she was being shown regularly.
2nd RES IMP NOT AWARDED MCEWEN’S UK & IMPGR CH & IMP GR PR PENNYDOWN SNOWPEARL (39) 11YRS 2MTHS It was great deliberation on this beautiful girls award today. She has gorgeous type and balance and conformation. Her eyes colour is fading now and I could have forgiven that due to her age but I am so sorry, as discussed with her one of her owners, her coat let her down today and this is the Imperial, its our highest award. She had considerable dead skin and her coat was greasy today, such a pity, I fear she is showing her age now? She has been a wonderful ambassador for this breed and I hope the coat can improve and I sincerely wish her the best of luck.
1ST CC&BOB HARRIS’ ADATESH FRESIA (31a) F 1YR 3MTHS Big lass with very good conformation and bone to her fairly short stocky legs. Nice large round head shape with plenty of width between her medium ears. Good chubby cheeks. Nice open face with expressive gold large rounded eyes. Bite is level and chin is firm. Her body is well framed, shows very good muscle tone and weight with excellent bone. Tail is thick at the base and tapers to a rounded tip, correctly fully coloured. Her coat made me ponder on the CC I must admit. It is nice and dense, a good length and is reasonably crisp. The colour is a pleasing shade but it is rather silvered at the moment, I hope it is seasonal and doesn’t worsen. She has just about enough white to colour, white inverted small offset V, chest and legs, just one or two small patches of blue on legs and a thinish strip of white underbelly, it’s a nice clean bright white so I compliment her on that. The divisons of white to coloured are quite well divided with very few straggly hairs so the lines are crisp. On balance she deserved her CC for type, bone and conformation and I forgave her for the silvering.
3rd no 2nd AWARD. NEALE’S KIMCATZ BABY-BELLE (31a) F 1YR 3MTHS. Much smaller lass of the same age. Her head shape is unfortunately more of a broad wedge instead of being rounded; she is broad at the top of head and tapers to a fine muzzle. Her ears are rather large and are too broad at base. The eyes are a nice colour and are fairly round. The nose is a tad long, bite is just acceptable, and chin slopes back and needs depth. Her cheeks are quite nicely filled. She is currently long and tubular shaped and needs lots more substance and muscle tone. Her legs are really slender I am afraid. Her tail is too long and thin. Sadly her coat is almost a slate blue which is totally incorrect, lies flat, is far too long and unsound and also silvered. She has scattered white hairs along her divisions of white to colour. The white itself is a nice bright white but there just isn’t anywhere near enough for the minimum of 1/3rd in the standard. I am so sorry this critique seems harsh but I really do not think this cat reaches the standard.
AC COLOURPOINTED MALE
1ST CC & BOB GARDNER’S WINDYMEADOW SPECTOR MORSE (40/7) 2YRS 4MTHS Obviously a working lad, he is typical of that lean at the haunches look bless him. That said he has lovely type, nice big round head with plenty of width between his medium sized ears of good set. Nice fat chubby cheeks. His eyes are a good size and are well-rounded and open, pale blue in colour. Level bite and good chin. Big body, thick well-boned legs, just a tad long. His tail is a little long for balance but is broad at the base and taper to a rounded tip. His coat is nice and short, fairly crisp, just a mite woolly at the moment whilst it is sorting the seasonal change out I guess. It is a nice clear creamy white with very little shading. The points are a mid cream, paler on the legs as is acceptable but there is colour there. A nice friendly entire male too.
AC COLOURPOINTED FEMALE
1ST CC HORTON’S ADVISH DUSTYDREAM (40/6) 3 YRS I see I judged this big lass very recently. My comments remain the same; I would just like her coat shorter if I could comment on anything other than recently reported. Lovely type and balance though.
2nd BERRY’S BRITARD PURR FECTION (40/7) 4yrs 7mths. Rather immature lass for her age I am afraid. She is a mite small and her head is at the moment out of balance with her long body, she has quite a good feel about her and is a reasonable weight. Her head is rounded, nice cheeks; good bite chin is of reasonable depth. Her eyes are large and well opened and a good blue. However, she does have a flicker and wobble, I let her relax back in the pen and it seemed to dissipate but didn’t go completely. Her coat is fairly dense but is uneven in length. The points colour are a nice shade of cream but she really doesn’t have much colour to talk of on her lower legs, the body colour is quite tonally shaded and there isn’t much contrast. Her points on her face and ears match and she has a well-shaped mask. Relaxed cat that had a nice cuddle.
BOB ONLY AND AWARDED TO: BOOTH’S GR CH 7 PR KOLINGA COUGAR Huge strapping lad, massive head, open face, just would like bigger eyes, huge cheeks and lovely sound mid blue crisp coat. Looked very nice today!
BLACK SILVER TABBY NEUTER
1ST PC & BOB LEONARDS’ CH&PR GRAYGEES SILVER TRINITY 11MTHS What a lovely example! Super type and build for one so young, good to see in this breed such a build too! Lovely British type, good large green eyes, short broad nose, level bite and good cheeks. Super neat ears set very well apart. Cobby balanced weighty body of very nice muscle tone. Good short dense crisp coat, lovely pattern of jet black and pale bright silver with positive contrast. Slightly short tail. Overall a very nice girl indeed!
1ST PC 7 BOB DRONSFIELD’S GREENDALE POLAR PRINCE 2YRS 5MTHS A lovely well built lad of good balance and conformation. Very pleasing open typed face, good large expressive green eyes with good black mascara. Neat little ears that have plenty of width between them and are set correctly. Short nose with good brick coloured leather. The bite is level and chin firm. Good fullness to cheeks. Cobby body of good bone to the legs and large paws. His tail is balanced but shows some rings. Super coat! Short, dense and has some texture with nice light even tipping.
AC CH OR GR CH
1ST NEALE’S CH POSITIVELY ZAMBEZI (15) 1YR 4MTHS What a super lad! Excellent type, good cobby body of excellent weight and confirmation. Good bone to his short legs too. Nice fat round head with very good width between his neat ears. Short nose, level bite and good chin with super cheeks. Excellent dense crisp black coat, just showing a light tinge of brown overtones at the moment, maybe the light? Good soundness. Promising chap.
2nd McEWENS’ CH BARRATTINI PEARL N LACE (39) 4YRS. A tad rangy at present, Seasonal I guess? Open type with large green eyes with black mascara. Good bite and chin but her cheeks need to be filled out more. Short dense coat a tad woolly but has nice pale even tipping. Just needs to fill out her big frame more bless her. Super temperament.
AC LIMIT ADULT
1ST BINNS’ ROCODANNE APACHE (21) 2YRS 2MTHS This lass is thought provoking. She has superb build, bone, conformation and a fabulous coat. However her type, for me, could be better, she is squared at the muzzle and her head could be rounder. I would like her eyes a little larger too for perfection. Her coat is beautifully short very dense and crisp, beautifully mingled with bright tortie colours. Sound black and sound reds. She has excellent bone too, a nice cobby body. Tail is well mingled, as are all 4 paws.
2nd FARMER’S PENNYDOWN XFACTOR (39) 1YR 2MTHS Large head and body, supported by good strong legs of good bone with a slightly long tail that is ringed. His head tapers at the muzzle and his nose is long, pleasing brick leather though. Lovely large eyes of a good green with very nice mascara, fairly well rounded in shape. Bite is untidy, chin fades a touch. Cheeks well filled. Beautiful short coat lightly tipped but a trifle uneven.
3rd. HOLLOWAY’S SANDWICK VALETTA (30G)
extra 3rd.HORTON’S ADVISH DUSTYDREAM
AC SELF ADULT
1ST BINN’S PETTICOTE THEGODFATHER (16) 1YR 3MTHS Nice typed lad, big open face and body and legs to match of very good bone. Gold round expressive eyes, fat cheeks, short straight nose, level bite. Very good width between his ears but they are a trifle broad at base. Good tail length. Short dense crisp pale blue coat that is almost sound but there is heavy silvering.
2nd BROWN’S CH KOLINGA ULTRA-VIOLET (16) Balanced and mature but her coat lets her down today, probably needs a winter to help. Good weight and size, super apple head shape, nice eyes for colour, just a trifle small though. Good cheeks. Level bite and good chin. Cobby body short legs. Her coat is uneven in length, a nice shade of blue, a tad woolly and open, sound to roots though.
3rd. HARRIS’ ADATESH IRIS (16)
AC BREEDERS KITTEN FEMALE
A 2 PAGE CLASS OF LOVELY KITTENS TOP 3 ALL WORTHY OF 1ST.
1ST BROWN’S KOLINGA ELLA BLU (16) 5MTHS. What a massive kitten, my pockets were definitely NOT big enough! Super type and balance, cobby muscular heavy boned body, short tree trunk legs and deep chest and flanks. Balanced thick tail. Apple head, plenty of width between neat ears. Eyes round and gold, could be larger for perfection. Fraction pinched din the muzzle possibly teething? Coat for me could be shorter but it is very dense and lively, sound to roots but showing silvering although not as much as the rest of the blue kittens today.
2nd. WEBB’S LILYBELLS KOH SAMUI (16) 5MTHS Lovely type and body shape to this kitten, not quite the bone of the winner though. Pretty expression, open face, nice round eyes of good size. Cobby and good weight and muscle tone. Fairly short mid blue coat, fraction unsound and silvered, good crisp texture developing though. Good tail shape and length.
EXTRA 2ND. KEMPSELL’S CYNDAERIN AIRGEAD-ALLEGRA (30S) 4MTHS Very promising black silver spotty baby, good type, good eye colour, good spots, well broken and a pleasing bright silver ground. Pleasing short crisp coat too. Nice cobby body and good bone. Just a mite brindled in the ground today but overall a lovely kitten.
3rd STUBBS’ POSITIVELY ANWEN-ENID (16) 5MTHS. Again a lovely kitten, I was going backwards and forwards with these 3 kittens. Apple head shape, very nice type too, good width between her ears, good cheeks. Short nose, level bite, good chin. Lovely expression to her gold eyes. Fairly short coat, dense but fractionally darker and quite silvered, almost sound to roots.
AC KITTEN OVER 6MTHS FEMALE
1ST BROWN’S KOLINGA ELLA BLUE
2ND COX’S RIOPUR LADY LAYLA (40/4) Well grown lass, sweet face, untidy bite though with very sore gums indeed which she looked a trifle uncomfortable about so may have spoilt her expression. Her coat is rather long and soft. Quite good points for colour, nice shape to mask.
AC ASSESSMENT KITTENWOOLFENDEN’S PORTEOUS RING THE BELL (15 45a)
1ST Stunning typed kitten that I have recently judged and written about. Very promising example of this breed and I was impressed with the increasing amount of ticking now present. Very good example of this new breed.

1ST HILLIAM’S CH & UK IMP GR PR COPPEDHALL PAINTBRUSH (28)
2ND OLDBURY’S PR ADSETSH CRYSTALMISSGIVITE (28) FN 2YRS 4MTHS What a cracking cat! Very hard to choose between these two stunning blue-creams. Super type and build, excellent bone and conformation. Beautiful mingled coat, sound to roots, crisp too, just a trifle darker than Paintbrush and has one solid cream paw and small patch of cream on her throat, these do not detract from her beauty though. I could have had 3 x 1sts here.
3rd. CROOK’S MIBABYESE ZARA (40/4) Gorgeous typy lilac Colourpointed, love her type and balance.
